Welp, someone poo in the Mad Hatter's tea.

I've actually been a member here for months, and had some good conversations with posters on this board, including you.

Actually was hoping to have a convo about what has changed for the Panthers since our last meeting, but doesn't look like that's gonna happen.

What has to change?  1 loss since we've played.

It doesn't matter who you have, nobody cares.  You are about to come into The Bank to play the hungriest team in the playoffs in front of a crowd starving for a playoff game.  In front of a team that has been disrespected all year.

Has Kap become substantially better at spreading the ball around?  The answer is hell no.  That's all that matters.  Our defense has gotten better, has the Niner offense gotten substantially better than our defense?  Hell no.  We shut you out in the second half in your own house.

Last meeting....

A DT made his first NFL start as our starting RG. That won't be the case this time.....

THAT IMO is a bigger difference in this game than any singular difference a 49er fan can bring up. So our OL play should be better.

For those below a 3rd grade comprehension level, I will quote the opening paragraph:

If you need anything else, I am just a notification away. :)

The Panthers have had significant injuries of their own

They don't whine about it. They just go 'next man up' and go handle their business.

It's a shame that the defending NFC champs and their fans are too frightened of losing again to do the same.

Man up or woman up as the case may be and just go away.

I continue to hear about the first meeting, and it is referenced a lot for this game. There are some significant changes for the 49ers from the first matchup, but I'm not sure Panthers fans are aware of all of them. Here are a few:

1.) Crabtree is back. This one is obvious.

Kaepernick 11 games before Crabtree's return:
Record: 7-4
Attempts/Completions: 156/275
Yards: 2037
Yards Per Game: 185.18
TDs: 14
INTs: 7
Pass Rating: 86
Rush Yards: 355
Avg Yards Per Rush: 5.5
Yards Per Game: 32
TDs: 3

6 games since:
Record: 6-0
Attempts/Completions: 103/171
YDS: 1387 yds
Yards Per Game: 231
TDs: 8
INTs: 2
Pass Rating: 95
Rush Yds: 267
Rush Avg: 12.7yds
Yards Per Game: 45
TDs: 1

2.) Vernon Davis.

Played just 22 snaps in first game. He will be full strength for this one.

3.) Aldon Smith.

Played 12 snaps in the first one with his head in a million different places (see: facing gun charges). Is healthy and mentally back for this one.

What makes this one interesting is that Dan Skuta - Smith's backup and a special teamer from the Bengals that we signed in the offseason - had his best game of the year against the Panthers. Will be interesting to see what Smith can do this time around.

4.) Bruce Miller.

He's on the IR for the season, but was rated the leagues 2nd best blocking FB before getting hurt. Not only does this hurt the running game, but he also caught a lot of balls out of the backfield. He was an outlet for Kaepernick, registering around 300 yards receiveing before getting hurt. He has been replaced by Will Tukuafu on runniung downs, who has been a surprisingly good run blocker (even a PFF secret superstar this week https://www.profootb...ild-card-round/), but struggles in pass protection. And Anthiny Dixon, who has surprisingly nice hands, but isn't the blocker Tukuafu is.

5.) Carlos Rogers.

49ers Slot corner. Looks to be out this game with a hamstring injury, which is usually a bad thing, but Rogers had one of his worst games of the year vs the Panthers, and 49ers didn't play a lot of Nickel vs Panthers in game one. In Nickel/Dime just 34% of plays.

6.) Eric Reid.

One of 3 concussions he's suffered this year was vs Panthers. The kid is talented and still learning to play at the NFL level. He missed most of the 2nd half with this game and was replaced by (gasp) Craig Dahl. Reid's improved since this game and will hopefully not lead with his head again when trying to tackle Mike Tolbert.

So, those are the changes in the 49ers I've noticed since the first meeting, what have Panthers fans noticed in the team that's changed since the first meeting.

And here, I'll just post a few things here to get them out of the way so that we can focus on the subject:

*No one is giving Pathers a chance, we winzzz by a landslidezzz!!!*
*Cam >>>>>>>>>>>>> Kap, we winzz!*
*Kap can't go through his progressions!*
*Crabtree won't make that much of a difference, we haz the best D in da univerzzzeee!!*
*YOUR ENTIRE TEAM IS GAY AND FROM SF LULZ, GTFO!!!!!!*

That outta at least get us started.

Cheers, fellas.

Dude we have been hearing this nonsense all week long from the whole media. Frankly were tired of it. So, What's ur point? The best team will win irregardless of any of that nonsense . There are no excuses. If you beat us the best team won and we will come back improved and try it again next year. It's been a great season for our up and coming team. If you lose well, you will have no more excuses like your fanbase has been whining about. The best team would have won. The truth is that your fan base is scared and that's why you guys are trying to convince yourselves that you only lost because of your injuries. By the way, Davis played most of the first half and was mostly a non factor except for the catch and the blown call fumble that allowed 6 of the points that you did not deserve. Davis don't scare us. Graham and gronk are better and we contained them except for the game in the sewer dome, where we, the true hottest team in football, received our only loss in the past 12 games.

Sarcasm /ur right, we have no chance. Why can't everyone see that. There's no need for us to attend the game. We should just sell our tickets to niners fans so they can enjoy the moment. WE HAVE NO CHANCE, now that crabs and Davis and the rest of the team is back. I am so depressed :'( I need to take my meds. /sarcasm. There is that what you wanted?

I love it that no one is picking us.  At home, our line has gelled more.  Our Def has gotten so much better.  Rookies have climbed over the rookie wall.  We had a week off to heal, (crossing my fingers for smitty), we have Stewart back.  WE have the best Def, rated 2nd but I believe the best especially when it comes to linebacker core which will not let Kapdick run so wide open on us like he has against other teams.  KEEP POUNDING!

The O-line vs D-line battle (for both teams) is my key to the game. Last time the Panthers pass rushers disrupted Kaep all game. RT Anthony Davis was beaten all game. If Panthers apply the same type of pressure it will be extremely hard for the niners to win.
BUT, i don't know if the play of the Panthers' RG is more important than Vernon playing a whole game and Crabtree being back. I won't say these additions make the 49ers the favorite, but they are undeniably important factors in who wins the game.
Here's to a good game and the winner being the NFC representative to the Superbowl.

The only differences between the two games is.

1. This one will be more physically violent

2. We beat the niners at home
