Not just a new OC, but a new system is needed.

Best Answer Chief Keek, 12 January 2014 - 04:38 PM

Yea Shula is a below average OC. The other nice thing about getting rid of Shula is the trend that follows each team that he leaves.

They've all won Championships.

Just bring Chud back... Chudzinki directed offense with this defense would be amazing. ..

We need to evolve. I still wonder if this staff is getting the most out of Cam. Better players on offense would help. Part of the reason our defense is dominant is because we have drafted well there.

Why don't you think the fixes will be done, especially if DG notices them??

Not sure he is the sole decision maker.

Plus Shula is Newton's security blanket.

We will see..

I'm on the bring back Chud bandwagon. We had a top 5 offense with the same players + Shockey.

that telling stat floating around about a team that is ranked higher than 24 NOT going to the SB is unreal.

Chud is fine with me.,,,players hate the guy though.....

Panthers were out played today and stalled a bit, but they had every chance to win....maybe playoff experience will helps and Shula stays....

I'm still on the fence about Shula. He's not as poor as many of you make him out to be, but the pace of play does bother me, as do some of the red zone calls.

We need talent on O. Go up and down San Fran's offensive roster and compare it to ours. The fact that we won 12 games with a sub-standard group of offensive players is a miracle, and you can't acknowledge that without giving the coaching staff credit too.

Never, for even one moment, have I wished Chud was still here. Bring him back? No fuging way.

I am willing to deal with another of Shula if we get weapons

The only real problem I had with Shula's playcalling today was at the goaline..how do you not once put Cam in the fugging shotgun and let him get some momentum towards the goaline and leap over the line for a TD..he's so big and athletic that it's literally unstoppable as long as your line doesn't get completely blasted backwards..I was fuggin screaming at my TV for this to happen but instead we thought we could run it straight up the middle time and again when you could clearly see SF stacking up against this..Hell, even a rollout with a run pass option for Cam would have been better..Shula bitched out at the goaline IMO

Other than that I really don't have any big issues with his playcalling..we lack a good offensive line and playmakers..we need another good receiving TE and a legit playmaking WR..Lafell is a joke..I will be disappointed if he is brought back and just given a starting spot again next year

The 49ers have a very similar, almost identical offensive system.  What's the difference?  Playmakers and a great o-line. 9ers have 'em, we don't. No need for massive offensive changes.

unless i heard incorrectly, i just heard Cam say HE made that qb sneak call.

i still say roll out at the goal line. it just gives you so many choices, disrupts the d and makes them work.

the Niners did that on their td just before the half. sheesh

If we score those two goal line drives we win the ball game. Nothing to do with system at all. I agree that I would like to see Rivera go get a new HC to make a system for cam and tailor it around him and pieces we get but we didn't lose this game because of our offensive system currently
