We went from top in red zone scoring percentage 3/4s of the way through the year to struggling at the very end. What changed?

The red zone issues are IMO the biggest reason he should be relieved of his duties. We cannot seem to punch it in on a consistent basis once we get inside the 20.

I hate to say it.  But this team misses Chud.  The offense from 2011 and the 2nd half of last season combined with this years defense would have ran the 49ers out of town.  Shula has to go.

I agree Shula has to go but I don't think bringing Chud back is the answer. The way players spoke about him after getting fired in Cleveland is a huge red flag.

Shula eats alot of clock with his play calling. However when we need him to kill a minute at te end of the game he can't. Shula has also been bailed out numerous times by Cam's running ability.

Did I want Chud back? No... I don't think so, but do I want Shula gone? Yes, and I have since the Arizona game.

No no no!  Don't put words in my mouth.  I am not suggesting they bring Chud back.  That would be stupid.  My point was that there was a noticeable drop off between the offense under Chud and the offense under Shula.  If I were the Panthers, I'd be on the phone with Norv Turner yesterday.

Norv Turner would pretty much guarantee us back in the playoffs next year.

It's weird how it took 8 or so games to see this prophecy come to fruition. We typically build up steam as the year goes on but the offense actully regressed as the year went on. Could it be tougher opponents? What was out there yesterday will not win this city a super bowl that is for sure.

Yeah, we need to find some balance between those 2 idiots. If Turner is that guy then I'm all for it.

At 12-4 I highly doubt anyone goes. Which tells me the FO doesn't seen the obvious problem. I think you could give Shula 2 good WR's this offseason and it wouldn't make a difference. My best guess, Shula stays, DG drafts OL (already admits he screwed up with the Kugz pick) and they let Shula try and run the ball next year.

This offseason will tell us fans everything we need to know about DG. If DG wants to start building a winner he doesn't just keep someone because they went 12-4. He also finally addressing the glaring needs on our O at WR.

I believe Oline play has more to do with it than play calling.

Yeah but I believe you call plays accordingly. Looks how SF had Kap roll out and then run it in because they knew we are solid up front.

It's no secret the Niners are solid up front so what does Shula do? He tries to go through them. Doesn't make sense.
