Those goal line runs may have had a much better outcome. Thoughts?

Certainly a possibility.  Our line got beat on those goal line stands.

Those?  If you count 2 you must remove the pass to Smitty then so the answer is no.

I think we have better chance running the ball to through the odd gap so yes.

I can't remember, did he go straight to IR or did he come back for a few games first?  Also, was Kugzilla hurt when we drafted him?

Mikell was the big loss at SS, whole game turned after that.

Not sure I agree. Smitty got a little more attention after that TD, plus he seemed to hobble around a bit afterwards as well.

That play could have been made at another, more important point later in the game as the defense probably thought #25 could cover 89 deep by himself. They learned he couldn't and didn't leave their DBs alone as much.

All that to say, if SF doesn't make adjustments based on that pass, then Smitty could have beat his man deep any time during the game - perhaps even the first drive in the 2nd half.

Amini did not cause all those flags to get the 49ers into scoring position three different times, so no.

The first goal line stand wasn't the issue... they held and got the ball and punted then we immediately scored.

The second one would have changed the entire game imo.  It would have put us up 17-6 before half (17-13 had they still scored) and probably changed the entire dynamic of our team coming out in the 2nd half.

However, those things are impossible to know though since it didn't happen that way.

Who knows? We really don't know what we have in him yet. That game was determined by a lot more than the play of one person.

he played a few games before he tore his acl

kug had hamstring and knee problems all through workouts and camp although he supposedly was getting non-contact reps on the first team when he was well enough to participate

If we had scored a touchdown we wouldn't have scored the FG so it would have been 14-6 (or 13)
