I think Mitchell and DG will work something out.

I think so too.  Just positing what happens if he's not.

Lester blew the coverage on Boldin 50 yard catch and missed the tackle on Gore's 40 yard run...

To be fair, Lester was only a rookie (and an undrafted one at that).

If you miss both you go draft Calvin Pryor. End of discussion

I hope we can keep both he and Mikell, personally, but Mitchell is the more important of the two and he also seems to be the one more interested in staying.

Mitchell's gotten really emotional when he's been asked about staying.

Would hate to see him go, but things happen.

RE-SIGN MITCHELL!

We need that passionate, hard-hitting, Safety in our backfield. All great defenses have a feared/vocal Safety.

Plus, his comments after our loss to San Fran makes me want to bring him back even more.

Mitchell should be a top 3 resign, Mikell isn't that much of a sting if Godfrey can come back healthy and restructures i can almost guarantee you it will be him and Mitchell starting but still bring Lester alone as well.

Mikell although overall solid, lacked plays in the passing game.

all the Bs talk about Godfrey, but the guy came to play week in and out.......his contract is pretty bad though

Sign Mitchell to a two year contract, if he plays well again, lock him up until he hits 30.

Godfrey will be gone.  I don't think it's even a question.  We could get 3 Godfrey's for what Hurney paid and save like 5.1 by releasing him.

Agree. I believe he will still count 6mil against the cap but we would save 2mil in cap space.

As a hitter, i could see that, but Mitchell is better in coverage than Harris was.

Lester will continue to grow into a great player.

Good DBs are the hardest to come by.. its rare to have a young guy just slinging dick back there. I think he has a great upside.

Pretty sure mitchell will stay.. but im glad godfrey is there just in case... he's not the worst.

Mikell was an important player this year, didnt make game changing plays but was rarely out of position

Definitely re-sign Mitchell.  I doubt Mikell is re-signed as he will be 34 this year.  I would take a re-structured Godfrey over Lester for a starter in 2014.  Continue to groom Lester to see if he can develop into a consistent starter.

I think the bigger question is who starts at CB.  I doubt they bring back Drayton, and Josh Thomas & Josh Norman are not starting material, and Munnerlyn wants more than he is worth so he may walk.
