Cam newtons scrambles don't count as part of that "rushing attack".

We could not run the ball, we could not pass the ball. We could not impose our will in any way. Our offense was ranked 28.

OLine is the priority.

When we aren't able to stretch the D then teams are able to stack the box with essentially 2 unblocked players, with those odds it doesn't matter what kind of linemen we have. I hope we address both areas equally, they compliment each other. Oline: resign 2-3 players, 2-3 in FA, and draft 2. WR: resign 2, 2 in FA, draft 1-2. Now watch the running game open up.

49ers had that great oline in the 1st game but they couldn't run or pass on us without weapons.

You see examples can work both ways.

The right side of the line really struggled. We need O-lineman, as well as a WR who can be a playmaker. Our rush statitistics our decieving. This team did not consistently run the ball.

Remember we hope to get back our two starting guards next season.

Tackle is a potentially huge need if gross retires, it's already a big need

How many sacks did we give up?

How many rushing yards would we have had without Cam scrambling on broken pass plays?

Did you happen to see our performance inside the 5-yd line against SF?

Top 10 beat bottom 5 any day of the week

i saw the SF game, i saw the pull blocker trip, poo happens

l we were running the ball well til teams STACKED the box. when teams STACK the box your suppose to beat them with the pass which is hard to due rank bottom 5.

but hey what do i know

As the season went on we couldn't open any running lanes and at times had a hard time protecting cam. We need to be able to run the ball traditionally and have some sort of balance on offense

Balance is going to happen if no one respects your passing game. If teams feel comfortable single covering your WR. They can have enough guys to stop the run.

Works both ways, if you don't have a running game then they don't need to being extra guys in the box to stop the run. Which leaves more guys in coverage

Problem is we have a few running threats and no WR.

Cam can help the running game. He can't catch his own passes.

We had the lowest YAC avg. In the league. Not only were defenders not afraid of our WR. But they knew even if they caught the ball they would be able to tackle them fast.

Some good day 2 OL candidates (mostly RTs):

James Hurst

Corey Robinson

Juwaun James

Morgan Moses

Sentreal Henderson (I'm not as high on this guy as most here. He was wildly inconsistent.)

Jack Mewhort

Joe Bitonio

We don't need a RT....we need a replacement for Gross at LT.

This. RT is the immediate hole but they'd be expected to move to the left once Gross is done.

I think Corey Robinson went back to school, you can add cameron fleming to that list. Love him at RT and seantrel reminds me of otah in terms of his lack of commitment to football

Gross controls the bulk of our offseason IMO, however I expect him back on a 2-3 year, cap friendly but fair deal.
