Truth be told he's an excellent second option. Too bad he's never had a 1st option to go with including here. I still feel lil we are missing our 1st option player.

I am still thinking that is a SG.

PG: Kemba- Great 3rd Option

SG: Hopefully we can a Superstar in the next draft

SF: MKG (Many have given up but I still feel like he is the glue and can do so much once we get shooters around him

PF: Unknown (McRoberts is our offensive glue guy but doesn't scare anybody and too early to tell on Zeller but on paper he is a great fit. in person, he is just too weak and can't finish around the hoop)

C: Jefferson (Great 2nd Option)

Bench

Sessions and/or Pargo

Hendo

McRoberts or Zeller

Biz

- Not a bad bench

I think he's a legitimate 1st option here. He's shown that he is. What we need to do is build around Jefferson. I dont believe that Kemba is the long term answer, but he has prove that he can get the job done. What we really lack is not a SG, but a "small forward". Kidd-Gilchrist may turn out to be a top defender, but I dont think he's ever going to develop an offensive game.

Shooting guard and small forward needs to be upgrade. I just see small forward being a bigger problem. Henderson is improving and is a solid defender at SG. We have no answer at SF atm.

I'm not sure Al Jeff will stick out the rebuild here.

I'm not sure he was meant to, I think he was just signed to create excitement for the name change and to hold over while the team builds young players and depth.

He is signed for 3 years right?

At his age and the wear and tear on him I don't know how much more jumping around he plans to do, but if we don't have a contender or playoff team by the time his contracts up I could see him moving on.

He has spent 3 seasons with each team he has played for, which in a way is funny.  Maybe that's his limit.

So you feel Jefferson as a 1st option can compete with the first options of teams with Lebron, Durant, Christ Paul or Paul George?

Also don't understand your acceptance of Hendo over MKG.

Hendo is shooting 42% from the field and 30% from 3. You say that is improving even thought he is going into his 5th season and shooting worse than the past 3 years.

MKG is a second yr player who with all his faults is still shooting 46% from the field. He also gets above average rebounding for a player at his position.

Of course. Jefferson may not be Lebron or Durant, but he can bring the same thing like a CP3, Paul George, or D12. Theres times throughout his career where Jefferson was just unstoppable. I remember last year where Jefferson had his way on Duncan.

Also, I dont really care what the percentage say. Hendo is a much better player today then he ever was. And, Ive probably been the biggest criticizer of his on this forum.

MKG is not there yet and is really looking like a bust. Its still too soon but he hasnt shown anything offensivley. If theres a chance to upgrade that position, you do it.

We honestly shouldn't have signed Al. we should've saved cap, got top picks then lured in a free agent with all our young talent we would've had

I'm not really sure if we could lure any top free agent here without Big Al.

If we're going to be able to attract any FA this offseason, it'll be because of Big Al.

Yes I think Big Al would help draw someone here.

We need a one-two punch and Al can be one of those, but someone needs to step up with consistency.  So if bringing in a SG and building the team that way is the direction we go, then the Al signing looks even better.

I know we get obsessed with the draft, but with Cho's recent track record does anyone really think if we are in the top 10 he is going to make a good pick?

Gordon Hayward would fill that SG/SF role.

Wiggins Parker Embiid plus 2 more 1st rounders from this class wouldn't?

True, maybe Lance Stephenson too but I don't know if either of those guys make it to FA.   I would hope at least one would.

It's going to be tough to get a decent FA to come here, but having Big Al will only help.  I believe he signed a 3 yr deal but has a player option on the 3rd year, so he could choose to leave after 2.  Would it be worth it to pay Antawn Jamison and Vince Carter the vet minimum to reunite in Charlotte?  I would like to see it and I bet at least Jamison would be down considering he grew up in Charlotte with the Hornets.
