11. Hardboiled eggs, granola in fruit yogurt

12.  Multi-device portable battery, and an apple (the fruit, not the hardware)

13. $25, if it's just me. Recently I've been eating smaller dinners.

14. I can, but I can just as easily skip it. I like a nice glass of scotch, but then I can go days without a drink and not notice.

15. Nope. Not saying, I don't have guilty pleasures, but my boss knows exactly what I'm doing.

My bonus questions:

16. Do you have any quirks or habits when you travel?

I set two wakeup calls. One 15 minutes after the first.

17. Shoes with or without laces?

I learned a while ago that loafers are a godsend for getting through TSA, and still professional enough that I don't need to pack a second pair.

18. How do you start a cold call?

"Hi, this is Cat Poop from Cat Poop Inc. I'm calling in regard to your current HR Systems. Do you have a few minutes?"

19. How do you wine and dine a client?

Federal government. I can buy them a $12 lunch, tell them it costs 5 dollars, which they are by law required to reimburse me. When we did a contract with some not-for-profits, it was Harry Caray's Steakhouse, top shelf liquor package, and endless premium appetizers.

I'm negotiating the biggest contract of my life right now.  It will drain the soul right out of your body.  The money would be huge but I don't even care anymore.

Good luck

Got the deal done yesterday morning.  Now management has already hit me with - yeah we may not be able to pay you the full commission - FML.  It sucks that they can basically change the rules on us at anytime.

I hate working on commission. Hate it. I was constantly burned by it. They say 4%, but then there is always some way in which they recognize revenue that will keep me from getting what I was due. Whether it was ratable, meaning I'd only get paid on dollars as they came in (i.e. I win a 10 year, $10m, contract, the only way I get the full commission is I stay with the company all 10 years and 4% on every dollar that the company gets paid). Or my favorite from my last job, which was they had a "house account." The house account was the 3 top executives in the company, and if they decided they contributed in any way to the proposal, a percentage of my commission went to the house account. Or better yet, if it was a really lucrative contract, they decided that the opportunity was a house account, and I would get no commission at all!

So fug commissions. In my current gig I get no commission, but my base salary is $15,000 higher than I typically ask, and if I have a really solid year, then it's reflected in my bonus. I couldn't be happier.

I had something similar. It was a set rate unless a deal was over a certain amount then it was negotiable. I'd break up the implementation into phases :)
