I see someone has been reading my love affair with ASJ.

At 6'6, 276, there's plenty to go around!

Disagree. he started out looking decent. Not great, but decent.

Put it this way: Would you start Byron Bell over him?

Yes!! Byron Bell isn't a great or good player. But you never worry about his mindset. And unlike Martin he wasn't giving a great draft position or money. So he always playing for his football life.

So yes I would much rather play the Un-drafted player who fought for his spot then a high round bust with mental baggage.

In my defense, it was relevant to the discussion.

At low cost and with Martin's age and upside?

rather have a seasoned vet that can step in day 1 and play well rather than a guy that's played really bad, missed the 2nd half of last season but has "upside"

While I'm not privy to this info, the fact is that many people over many years and many teams spoke of Incognito in a negative light.

Incognito is an utter and complete douchebag who should be kicked in the nuts on a daily basis.

Oh of course, and in a weird sense, Martin is very lucky that Incognito is such a scumbag, or else Martin wouldn't have automatically been seen as the "victim" in this case.

If this incident involved Martin and a semi un-known 5th-string DT, it would have been a drastically different story.

You can't tell me he won't hear or be called worst by opponents. On a play by play basis.

We should bring in Martin and Incognito. Also we should think about bringing back Ken Lucas for our CB spot...

Nope. Bullying scandal aside, he wasn't very good. He got demoted once, and had been playing poorly on the other side also.

Exactly. He wasn't all that good in Miami, so I doubt he will suddenly be good here. It would take some serious looking into where he's concerned before I would even think about trying to sign him.

That sound less crazy then wanting Martin.

No doubt, same as Manti Te'o.

A situation like this can affect him in a couple of ways.  He could completely wilt under the pressure, or he could find his spine, give in to the Dark Side of The Force and let his rage fuel him to dominate his opponents.

Whether or not you sign him depends on what you believe he'll do, and you learn that by interviewing him and gauging his answers.

Oh Lord, no :(

And I seriously doubt guys like Kalil, Gross, Smitty and other team leaders would accept an a--hole like Incognito in the Panthers locker room.  Even less likely that Ron Rivera would want him there.

Feel pretty confident in sayin' that ain't happnin'.
