How can they do this poo when FA and the draft have yet to happen?

 How teams draft and any trades or free agent pick ups will change many teams odds from what it is now.

 

As an example, when the Jets drafted Geno Smith to be their starter, they went from the middle of the pack to the bottom as far as odds go.

Eh, they had some rough injuries.

 

They draft a couple key players and they're right back in the playoff hunt.
