UPDATED: Confirmed. Bobcats Exploring Trade for Evan Turner

211 posts in this topic

Reading that link it sounds possible that we only have one 1st rd pick this season; #25+ from Portland with Detroit keeping their pick and our pick going to Chicago.

So what we hoped would be...

2014-15 Charlotte Hornets:

Kemba Walker

Lance Stephenson (via free agency)

Jabari Parker (1st rd)

Cody Zeller

Al Jefferson

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist

Gerald Henderson

Bismack Biyombo

Gary Harris (1st via Det)

Aaron Gordon (1st via Prt)

Ramon Sessions

Jeffery Taylor

Has in reality evolved to;

2014-15 Charlotte Hornets:

Kemba Walker

Evan Turner (via trade)

James Young (1st via Por)

Josh McRoberts

Al Jefferson

Gerald Henderson

Bismack Biyombo

Ramon Sessions

Cody Zeller

Jeffery Taylor

Anthony Tolliver

Jeff Adrien

I'll leave this thread separate from Chuck's thread being that it is now being confirmed by legitimate sources that we are talking with the Sixers about Turner.

That being said, this reeks of a Bobcat-stamp approved trade...  Most likely giving up on a 20 year old, former No.2 draft pick in his sophomore season, as well as BG's contract, for an overrated, overhyped "scorer" who doesn't even average 20 points per game, shoots 43% from the field, and an atrocious 28% from three.  Yeah, that's the type of "scorer" that would carry us into the playoffs, lol.

Didn't see Chuck's thread I know you said you wouldn't but feel free to delete this... Sorry about that

Ramon Sessions, Bismack Biyomob, and a 2nd round pick for Turner... take it or leave it.

He's not an efficient enough scorer to give up a lot for.

Heck, I can average 18 points per game on 16 shots...

Jeremy Lin would have been awesome to have when there was actually hype around him and he was putting butts in seats... now??? Not so much.

In this trade, we trade out $20 million dollars in cap space that we could have plus trade away the player with arguably the most upside (MKG) in the trade.

Expect it to go through tomorrow.

Any particular reason you say this?
