Bobcats Rumored To Be Interested In Greg Monroe

Charlotte:  The Charlotte Bobcats are somewhat aggressive in kicking the tires. They like Philadelphia’s Evan Turner and they have been kicking around the Detroit Pistons on Greg Monroe. Charlotte is owed a couple of draft picks – one from the Portland Trail Blazers that they look poised to get this year and a Detroit Pistons’ pick that is top eight protected this year. Their own draft pick looks to be headed to Chicago if the ‘Cats make the playoffs and they are angling for a trade to do just that. The Bobcats are also shopping the ending contract of Ben Gordon and there has been talk that they would toss in Bismack Biyombo for the right kind of upgrade, although that might not be much of an inducement. The Bobcats also have the ending contract of Ramon Sessions, who has really struggled to shoot the ball this season. The ‘Cats are in the market. They do have trade chips they are willing to move. The Bobcats as a team are wanting to make a deal, the question is what will they get back for what they appear to be offering in a trade?

If true... fug TAJ GIBSON. LOL, lets do this. Twin towers baby!

Yup, just about to post that same thing up.

Love to have Monroe.

Be crazy if we could pull up deals that land us both Monroe and Turner. I'd gladly give Detroit's pick back to them for Monroe.

PG: Kemba

SG: Henderson

SF: Turner / Kidd-Gilchrist
PF: Monroe / McRoberts / Zeller
C  : Jefferson / Biyombo

I'm with you chuck... No hesitation in giving them their pick back for Monroe.

Hopefully that will give us some leverage with them.

This lineup could do some damage.

The big question is could we afford to resign Monroe and Turner though.

If we brought them both in and they both were deemed worthy of re-signing, absolutely... but, the big unknown there would be whether MJ wants to pay the tax or not.

Either full-blown tanking or full-blown playoff push. Pick a path, Bobcats. So far, I like the speculation.

If this is true, it falls in line with what the front office has been telling the fans--that they'll be actively engaged in trying to give the city a playoff team THIS season. I'd also give Detroit's pick back for Monroe, but would this be a similar situation to Turner's, in that he'd soon be a RFA?

Whatever you have to do, get Monroe and extend him after the season, then try to get Turner. Then Draft PJ Hairston

PG) Kemba, FA, draft pick

SG) Henderson, Hairston (though I'd rather Hairston start)

SF) Turner, MKG, Taylor

PF) Monroe, McRoberts, Zeller

C) Jefferson, FA

that's a good young team right there. Though it's obviously just my fantasy

Yes they are from the same draft class they will both be free agents after the season.

    • Was just thinking about that last night. MJ and Cho might have something up their sleeves. Dont count us out. Gordon signed his name on papers with us last time when we were far worse than now.  I dont think Boston is the clear choice for Hayward.
    • And by terrific I mean awful.
    • Exactly. You'll gain weight even eating below 2,000 if all your calories come from carbs/fats. Dieting is about tailoring your proteins/carbs/healthy fats within a calorie requirement. There are min/max to all three of these. I keep it at 50/40/10 depending on how I'm working on my body at the moment. 50% protein, 40% carbs, 10% fat within a certain calorie intake. I'll raise he fat and lower the carbs to lose weight. People also look at that and say wow half my calories can be yummy carbs and fat! Those carbs are rice veggies and beans/quinoa and the fat is avacado peanut butter or fish though so not really. On a diet like IGO's, as long as fats are watched, it's almost unecesscary to count calories. This diet would never work for me because of my needed protein intake...beans and tofu only have so much to offer someone building muscle. However I eat read meat 2-3 times a month, and alternate between fish and chicken otherwise with the occasional bean/pea/tofu day.
