Do we live in the Caroleena's? No. Therefore when you say "the greater metroleena area" you are incorrect. Say it with me: Metro - Line- Uh

Gawd dang son!

I hate hearing Con-Kurd, it bugs me to no end. Great Wolf has a radio ad that pronounces it that way.

Similarly, my father used to call it the "Containment Area for Relocated Yankees"

Works all ways. Here it's HOW-STIN (Houston) street, not HEW-STUN. Here, it's the DEE-COB (DeKalb) subway station, not DEE-CAB.

Also, in MS, it's BUH-LUX-EE (Biloxi), not BI-LOCKS-EE.

In, KY, it's LOU-VULL (Louisville), not LOUIEVILLE.

And of course, it's NEW ORLINS, or NAW-LINS. Not New OR-LEANS.

And my fave, Worcester, MA. It's not WAR-CHESS-TER or WAR-CESS-TER. It's WOO-STAH.

The one that gets me is Beaufort.

In NC it's BOW-FERT but in SC it's BYOO-FERT
