I'm pretty 'meh' about it, especially since Marvel plays it safe with their CBMs but The Winter Soldier and Guardians of the Galaxy appear quite decent.

Apparently the full trailer premieres tonight on Kimmel. "Meh" is pretty much how I feel about this film right now. Rather have a Black Panther film but the Winter Solider looks good.

Really? I thought it was a 30 second teaser for the 2:30 minute trailer.

Interesting.

Regardless, I'm with you. I'm not big on this film but the full trailer could change my mind. The Winter Soldier (brimming with potential) is by far Marvel's best looking film it has produced in awhile. I wasn't all gaga for The Avengers, Iron Man 3 was such a letdown, and Thor: TDW was mediocre.

It'll be good, I've heard rumors that it is the darkest film yet they've done.

But if you didn't like Avengers, I'm not sure what to tell you lol.  It set the standard for Superhero films (not counting Dark Knight triology).  Iron Man 3 was a letdown till you think about it and Thor's sequel was just as good as the first.  They always put out solid films, even the Edward Norton Hulk was pretty good.

The Avengers was okay. I didn't say I didn't like it. I just didn't see the hype behind it.

The Mandarin was a nerdy, white scientist who sought out revenge for Tony standing him up (Carrey's Riddler?). Unforgivable.

Thor: TDW had a weak script and CGI. In fact, the only thing that kept that film going was Hiddleston's Loki.

Well... that was... Gunn-like.

Oh wait, I forgot James Gunn was directing this.

No, that wasn't the Mandarin in the movie lol.  The Mandarin was Ben Kingsly's character that was just an actor.  Still stupid though.

That was kinda the point lol

I was so pissed they went that route. Seriously, it just took all the air and momentum out of the movie for me. It felt like Black was trying to pull a Nolan and infuse some humor in the process.

Horrible move.

I've never really been a "Guardians" fan.

As a non-fan, what about this movie would make me want to see it?

I also forgot James Gunn was directing this. I liked his film Slither he wrote and directed good mix of gore and comedy so if he can bring some of that to this film it should be a good summer movie

Full trailer is now on youtube

Same here. The humor fell flat and I wasn't impressed with anything I saw.

The only real reason I'm slightly interested in this is THANOS.

Admittedly, I'm a little put off by the idea that one of the characters is a raccoon

Can anybody explain that bit to me?

Can't wait.  The only Marvel movie I felt ambivalent about was the first Captain America.  They will have our 20 bucks per movie and I'm OK with that.
