With the 28th pick in the fourth round of the 2014 Huddle Mock the Carolina Panthers select Defensive End Aaron Lynch, from the University of South Florida by way of Notre Dame.

Another potential fourth round gem, Lynch is a high motor pass rusher who will be a welcome addition to a team looking to move on after Greg Hardy was dealt to the Broncos. Lynch looked like a potential top 20 pick his Freshman year at Notre Dame, but after transferring to USF and shedding some weight he struggled to dominate on the field. He's begun putting the weight back on, and flashes exceptional athleticism and pursuit ability on tape. For that reason we'll gladly invest a late fourth on him and hope he realizes his full potential. Lynch will battle with fellow Defensive End's Mario Addison, Frank Alexander and Wes Horton for the starting job opposite "Big Money" Charles Johnson, but at the very least he'll be a great situational pass rusher to release on third and long.

.Having moved on from the 35 year old Goodwin the 9ers signed DeLa Puente in FA and now add depth and perhaps a future starter to the Oline.

With the 31st pick in the fourth round of the 2014 Huddle Mock the Panthers select Safety/Cornerback Aontone Exum, from Virginia Tech.

Exum has some slight injury concerns, but when healthy warrants a late second round pick. We feel confident Exum's knee injury is in the past, and believe he'll have a productive and healthy NFL career. Fourth round has been a round of high upside players for the Panthers, and they hope they'll have a 3/3 success rate. Exum will battle fellow Safety Charles Godfrey who was cut and re-signed to a much more team friendly one year deal. The Virginia Tech standout could see some time at Corner in Dime personnel, and Exum should contribute on Special Teams, getting him on the field early.
