With the 28th pick in the 2014 Huddle Mock Draft the Carolina Panthers select Tight End Jace Amaro, from Texas Tech University.

Amaro will be a dynamic play maker for the Panthers, and much like Jimmy Graham with the Saints will allow the Panthers offense to exploit the miss matches he creates. Has the size to play inline, but excels in the slot and out on the boundaries playing more of a huge WR role at times. He will need to become a better blocker to be the player the Panthers truly want, but we have no doubt he can do that. He's far and away the best player on our board, and we look forward to getting back to 12 personnel where the Panthers offense truly flexed their muscles in 2011.

What a BOLD pick!!!!!!!!

Actually one of the top three guys I was targeting. Knowing OBJ would be gone my board was....

Lee/Cooks

Amaro

I know some people are down on him after a so-so combine, but tape doesn't lie with Amaro. He can be a huge weapon and x-factor for whatever Offense he goes to.
