Who else is going to be watching this? Dr. Neil Tyson is hosting this and I'm super interested. I love Astrophysics and astronomy so this series will be awesome. It's on fox and the first episode is broadcasting on all of the fox network stations.

Not the biggest fan of anything Seth McFarlane but I might check this out some other time...something to binge watch one day

You owe it to yourself and everyone else to watch the series. When was the last time you heard of a major network rolling out a major science show in primetime?! In an age where ratings and drawing viewer attention are the biggest thing networks care about they are showing science in a great way and have a chance to actually teach something to the American people and that's exciting.

I've been stoked for this since they announced it last year. This will be a fantastic series. Science; it works, bitches.

Science is a fad and the domain of modern day charlatans.

Probably the last Sagan series(if you count PBS) and this show's ratings will be huge simply by how many Fox networks this series is airing on.  Fox will make sure this show has great ratings .

Agreed but still. You aren't at least a little excited for the prospect of a huge science show on one of the coolest fields in science on a huge network like fox

My tv is basically locked onto 2 channels until sports come on. Science Channel and Smithsonian channel. I live a meager and boring life.

I remember watching the original Cosmos series with Carl Sagan- was very cool even back then.

I'm a little surprised Fox is carrying it since it will be a direct conflict for the Fox News crowd who don't believe facts or science or anything...

    • Glad you can point to 1 off season to hang your hat on, when it comes to your opinion.  Doesn't give you much to stand on. What exactly are we crowning him anyways?
    • I'm sure he's learned his lesson not to have a conversation with our fan base because of the way this way blown out of context. He didn't ask a question. He didn't imply anything. However, the same fans that only read headlines and then share posts on Facebook (without reading the article) decided to make all kinds of accusations and assumptions about this. So yeah....Bill should be more clear because we aren't very smart.  Edit: FYI...."if picked up" is not a question it's a statement. Should he have just assumed instead?
    • Nate Silver did an analysis on this, and not sure which party it would benefit more but what he did say was that it would likely hurt GOP more to pass it than for it to fail That is how unpopular this bill was
