2014 Draft Rumors Thread

I agree.

Ive said it plenty of times before. I know that Gman wasnt the one making the call in NY, but he was taught of a certain way of how to build a sb team. No way hes just going to change over night. Gman will address the OL via FA just like in NY. Bank on it.

what was his role in ny as far as how they got to this point and how bad they were? did he jump off a sinking ship he had something to do with?

If the OT's are gone, the teams ahead of us will go WR as BPA, possibly leaving us with a defensive player as our BPA.

Beyond CB, is there another defensive player worthy of 28th pick?  Just thinking about worst case scenario I guess.

From Ohio State Pro Day

Ryan Shazier, LB: Shazier ran the 40-yard dash once, and the times that were recorded varied, with a high of 4.41 seconds to a low of 4.35. Averaging out the best and the worst times, I’d give him a time of 4.38 seconds. Shazier pulled up at the end of his run with what was initially thought to be a left hamstring pull, but it was later changed to a strain, which isn’t as bad as we originally thought.

An interesting side note about Shazier and his training habits: He’s very careful about what he eats. I’m told he takes a picture of every one of his meals and sends it to his performance trainer, Mickey Marotti, because he wants to make sure that he’s eating correctly.

Read about his pro day and was WOWed by it.

I love Shazier and KYV. I dont give a fug about "needs". I want BPA if youre drafting that late in the draft (28). Shazier could even play Safety for all I know.

4.38, 4.37, 4.36, unofficial or not thats just insane!

Shazier is a Lavonte David clone. I'd love to have a guy like that.

Since we might be in no mans land at 28 with the top 4 OT's gone and the top 5 WR's possibly gone, it might be just what we need for a weak QB class to actually NOT be drafted at the top and all the QB needy teams want to jump back into the end of the first round to get their man.

Would it be great to switch with Houston or Jax and pick up a third or what?

Shazier wouldn't bother me. The future with Luke, AJ and Shazier behind our DL could cover up a lot of issues in the secondary.

I have a man crush on TD, but I just don't trust his knees.

3/7: "League source on Jaguars: 'With Henne back, I don't expect them to take QB until 2nd round and maybe not until 3rd or 4th round.'" - Ryan O'Halloran, Florida Times-Union. "I'll throw a $2 wager out there the Jaguars trade down in round 2 and take Garoppolo."

The Raiders want to trade back in the 2014 NFL Draft, according to Todd McShay.

Maybe if they trade back to like 10th, then they'd like to cough up the 10th pick for one G Hardy, I can dream anyway

Getting rid of Cromartie sort of legitimizes this one
