Per Ian Rappaport on Twitter.

 

The #Panthers are attempting to trade WR Steve Smith, per source. Given his $7M cap number and age (34), seems unlikely.

 

Can't believe this is really going to happen.  All signs point to him being gone......

Yep, I've been say all along. From business stand point it makes 0 sense to pay him this money. Watch, Smitty is gonna retire.
