They spent some cash on those two. I think there is $24 million+ guaranteed to those two guys.

Damn

What, a team improving areas of weakness? Unheard of!

::yawn::

A underachieving d.e and a immobile run stuffing d.t. Not really concerned, the may have improved their run defense, but there pass rush still leaves a lot to be desired.

Good news is Atlanta is spending a lot of money on those DTs and the guard.  One will probably get hurt, one will be a bust, and the other might contribute.

They're getting stout upfront, they already have a ton of talent at the skill positions.

So far their only loss from last year is Gonzo. They've added 3 very solid FA's where they needed them most.

Is this the thread where I make up reasons why signing good players is actually bad

they gave out $58 million to two middle of the road players and still have no pass rush to speak of

good example of why you never sign players on day 1 of free agency

When you realize that the falcons are going to run a 34, and their pass rush will be found by drafting Kalil Mack, then you'll realize these signings were amazing.

    • Hey @E CaT PanTHer 2. For someone that kind of consistently makes strange remarks about black people, and also proudly voted for and supported Donald Trump, you sure don't seem to mind appropriating black culture when it serves you best.
    • I heard something the other day that made perfect sense to me. I was obviously aware of the Austin craze a few years back when interest began peaking and the real estate market began a recovery long before the rest of the country. Someone said, "Austin is outgrowing Austin." Remember Charlotte in 1990 and what happened over the next 20 years? Very comparable and many of the same issues associate with such rapid economic growth, development and population: real estate, infrastructure (traffic), employment competition, etc.
