I'm not so sure he did.

Can't find any concrete evidence that the account featured in the screencap actually exists.

It exists. It's a guy on a bike with a hummer in the background and it's private. Looks to be the right age to be the father of a 25yo.

So much for Nicks.  You know Colts won't let him leave without a contract.

Just think of all the cap room we will have in 2015 when Cam doesn't re sign with us because we didn't give him any protection or weapons.

Trade Cam now while we can still get something out of him!

Also tough to put up numbers when you're hidden on a roster,   behind targets like Hilton, Wayne and a TE.

If Nicks runs the risk of being overshadowed by a 35 year old WR and TE, then why do we want him so badly? We obviously think he is better than our former 34 year old receiver.

I think this is a leverage play. He'd almost certainly rather play at home than go to Indy, but by taking this visit he's creating leverage to drive up the Panthers offer. It might just work, too. And if not, the Colts are obviously interested.

Ian Rapoport ‏@RapSheet  52s
With Hakeem Nicks visiting Indy, #Panthers have renewed interest in Brandon LaFell, who left NE without a deal. LaFell is in Charlotte today

Eric Decker was tied to the Colts too, then chose the friggin Jets. Don't take it as a foregone conclusion that Indi is a WR's dream job.

The two don't necessarily have to be linked. It's entirely possible we were always going to bring back LaFell. You can bet Gettleman doesn't view LaFell as a #1 option.

FWIW, the Colts do not have a first round pick and that might make them more likely to shell out more cash than normal to secure Nicks.

Wayne was still beastly prior to getting hurt last year.     Wayne and Luck have amazing chemistry.  I fully believe that Hilton and Wayne will be the two go-to guys.    Nicks will be a third option...    depending on how much the Colts use their #1 TE over their #3 WR,  he could be their fourth option.

Nicks probably wants the chance to prove he's one of the top WRs in the NFL and should eventually be paid like one.    Can't really do that when you're the 3rd option on your team.

I imagine that Dave offered him the same contract that was offered to fan fest honorary coach Jack Bolton. All the hot dogs he wanted.

But what did I tell you guys, if the GM doesn't respect the players, the players won't respect him.

And how many years has Reggie Wayne got left? All they gota do is say Hakeem here's your money, easy division and wait til Reggie leaves and nicks will sign you an bet your life on it.
