Lafell as a replacement at #3 would stil be better than Ginn coming back with Barner doing KR/PR

Sort of looks like Gettleman is planning on riding the "blame Hurney" wagon to give himself a couple of freebie years.

In all seriousness, that's the way it appears to me. Sure, we don't have a lot of cap space, but somehow, teams like New Orleans were "up against the cap", and pull up signings of guys like Jairus Byrd,

Yes... but he always found away out of it.

His idea was to backload contracts until Jesus returns, and at this point I kind of like that idea.

Except eventually it puts you in the kind of situation we have now, and in this case he's not the one paying the price.

i don't want a guy looking for year to year success.  I want a guy with a plan to make us perennial contenders, even if it hurts in the short term.

Our WR core next year

1.Lafell
2. Hester
3. Mcnutt
4. King.

Gettleman will double dip at OT and still be praised by the "business first" philosophers here.

They backloaded the fug out of his deal! Had like $12mil upfront in like bonus money and only a $2mil cap hit, crazy but gettleman said he wants to stop these rollover dead money deals that hit you down the line

Basement here we come, unless Cam learns to throw and catch the ball at the same time.

If we sign nicks, grab Benjamin in the draft, wouldn't our WR core be considered a strength?

So quickly things could turn. This is why some of you are restricted to a message board.

So many options, so much time. Chill

Ginn wasn't even that good last year. He was simply serviceable here after coming in as one of the biggest busts in the NFL.

556 yards and 5 TD's... That's 100 more yards and 3 more TD's than the Saints WR3 (Moore). Not to mention the fact that he won us a prime time game.

I'd say he was a little more than serviceable.

It is looking more and more likely that we're going to enter the draft with Brandon LaFell as our #1 receiver and some flea market receiver as our #2.
