Spoke to someone in the know today, he says the Panthers have WR Brandin Cooks high on their board. If New Orleans does not grab him at 27 he will be the Panthers pick.

Kid runs a 4.33 and is 5'10. Would immediately give us the deep threat that the loss of Ginn took away from us. Also he is a full time punt returner.

Anywho... watch this youtube and see who he reminds you of, both in play and in attitude....

A WHOLE PIE!

There are so many awesome WR prospects in the draft this year that I'll probly have to delete my forum account when we don't draft any of them

OMG !! I needed some good news. Cooks is by far my favorite player in the draft. Unfortunately I'd be more concerned about the jets at 18 or KC at 23 then New Orleans.

How likely is it that he makes it to 28?

I love this kid. Not only is he fast but he understands how to beat press and runs great routes.

Great. Gettleman wants to replace Smitty with a wannabe. All I have to say is IF he has Smitty's passion, work ethic and drive (aka chip on his shoulder) then he'll be a good pick. That's an astronomically huge IF though.

It would have been nice to get Cooks to learn under Smith. Especially since Smith was one of his idols.

I would be happy with ANY new receivers now that we have only practice squad players.

So you're saying we won't draft a LB or RB?

It's crazy enough it just might work.

Many mocks have him going 30 to San Fran.

He wont replace Smitty but he will be Brandin Cooks. Thats all he needs to be. He's got a great shot at being a star in this league. From the start of the drafting hype of this year this is the guy I wanted. He's got lightening quick feet, he's tenacious, and he tracks well. He's got the tools to be special. Gonna put on some weight over a couple of years and fill out. I like this guy.

I have a feeling New Orleans will take him. They need a new speed guy.

Isn't it fuged how New Orleans picks in front of us this year with almost the same needs?
