This is marginally related to the Panthers, but I am curious and I know it will get more traffic in this section of the forum.  I did not find anything similar using the search function.

Given that there is not a professional baseball team in the Carolinas, who do most of you root for? The Orioles and the Nationals make sense because of distance.  The Braves are an option as well.  The Durham Bulls are the triple A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays and the Charlotte Knights is the triple A affiliate of the White Sox, so it would make sense to follow either the Sox or the Rays.  There are several other minor league teams, but the triple A teams are most relevant to the major league clubs, unless a young stud jumps from single or double A.

With that said who is your team and why?

The braves. I've been a fan since I was 6 years old. Their games always come on TV for me, so it's an easy choice,

Both Carolinas are solidly Braves country. The Orioles are probably #2.

Loved the giants as a kid, big Barry bonds fan. Went to a padres giants game when I took a trip to south town as a kid.

I have fell off for years, and not a baseball fan at all. If I had to identify with a team it would be the giants. I hesitate, cause I do not want to identified as a banwaggoner. So I guess I'm N/A.

Definitely holding out for a franchise in the Carolinas.

The Mets and I have know idea why other than the fact I didn't care much about baseball until one of neighbors got me into the Mets a few years back. I'm usually done after May every year lol with how bad we have been in the past 5 years.

Everyone in my family is a Braves fan except my immediate family. We moved from Charlotte to Texas when I was 13, I'm 22 now, and just got into baseball after moving to Arlington about 5 years ago

baseball?

Yes. It's a sport that's been around for around 150 years and has been televised around half that time. I'm a little surprised you've never heard of it :P

I was always a huge Barry Bonds fan so for the longest it was the Giants. Now that he doesn't play anymore i'm an even split between the Mariners (Justin Smoak) and The Rockies just because its different. I rarely watch more than 20 MLB games a year though anymore. I keep up with College Baseball far more. I haven't missed but about 15-20 gamecock baseball games in the last 2-3 years.
