All I'm gonna say is Bruce is clutch player. He does the job when it matters most.

So did Dwayne Jarrett.

This guy has some pop... he will be a fucking gem for whoever drafts him.

He has INSANE speed and quickness. He played basketball and ran track for a major university. I would love to snag this guy. No doubt he would make some big unexpected plays for the panthers..

Bruce can be a weapon in the NFL if used correctly. He should absolutely not be drafted as a #1 receiver. He's a slot sized receiver that has shown the ability to consistently create separation and make spectacular and clutch catches. He also has some downfield ability and could potentially develop into a #2 outside receiver.

3rd to 5th round is the right grade for him. I'm not certain Shula would get a ton of use out of a slot receiver though, so not sure how well he would fit our offense. People really underestimate Ellington as an athlete - when he is on the football field, you can tell that he was also a starting NCAA point guard. Incredible change of direction and quickness.

Yeah...that's what I said.

Thanks for the lack of common sense.

Care to explain the point of your post then?

That's the equivalent of someone saying "Cam is a great athlete" and responding with "So was Jamarcus Russell".

If the Huddle were the Panthers' GM, every draft pick would be from UNC, South Carolina or Appalachian State.

Dream come true... Clowney; Robert Quinn; Ebron ; Johnathon Cooper ; Alshon Jeffrey....

Maaaaaaaaan sign me up!!!!

I could name about 10 more quality players but you get my point. I'm down!!!! Lol

JaMarcus is a great athlete, but like your dude being clutch in college, it means nada in the NFL. The NFL is the best of the best, some of the most prolific players in college history were monumental busts in the NFL because they didn't have the rest of the qualities they need to succeed.

Dwayne Jarrett personified clutch, but it didn't translate to the NFL because...who knows why exactly.

If you're going to sell a prospect you should do so with more than one redeeming quality. Same as saying Cooks will be good because he's fast, or Benjamin because he's tall, etc.

Just a general point. Most of our threads every offseason leading up to the draft are as thus:

What about (position of need) (player name) from (South Carolina, UNC or Appalachian State)?

Thread contents: (player name if from USC or UNC) had some big numbers and he's got good measurables, why not go for him in the (low number) round?

Thread contents: (player name if from Appalachian) would be a good choice to take a late-round flier on, he did really well against (D-I team that throttled Appalachian).

How about Sammy Watkins from Clemson?

Sammy would be great, but no way he's still on the board at 28
