Jacoby Ford a possibility

Poor hands as a WR, but 4.28 speed.   I think he could be worth vet min as a special team player.

Perhaps.  Darrius Heyward-Bey is still out there dangling in the wind also.  I don't know which one is better (or the lesser of two evils).

G-man may be thinking that King and McNutt are better prospects at this point.  I wonder if he will even sign another FA wide receiver before more cuts come in August.

Britt or Rice would have been my choice, but one is character and the other one still on the mend (again).

I'd be the Panthers legit #1 receiver if I had Jacoby Ford speed...

or for that matter, Dwayne Jarrett..

Good find, but I worry that the Panthers have no interest at all and it is just Newton saying, "they should have interest"

Exactly. Don't get your hopes up.

A few years ago during his rookie season he was an absolute stud. Hopefully he can return to his old form.

470 yards and 2 tds makes for an absolute stud?

I was talking about mostly as a returner.

I was hoping for a more specific answer (not a condescending one).  For example...drops, poor route running., etc.  Anything correctable or has he hit his ceiling?

Think Drew Carter.

I was thinking Jacoby Jones when reading about this, which is funny because I was thinking Jacoby Ford a few years ago when we brought Jones to visit.

Id take Heyward Bey over Ford without question. He is big and fast and done more than Ford on the field.
