Biggest NFL Steal of All Time?

65 posts in this topic

Common answer would be Tom Brady, but that's just incorrect.

Tom Brady career QBR:  95.7

Mystery undrafted QB's career QBR: 95.8

Said player: Tony Romo

Why is Brady considered the biggest NFL steal of all time? Any decent quality starting QB could've been plugged into Belichick's teams and won 3 Super Bowls. Not to mention Romo has had just about no team around him since he came into the league. No good coach or good GM like Brady had (arguably the best coach/GM in Belichick), never had a top defense, and never had a lot of elite weapons. Romo has 23 career 4th quarter comebacks, whereas Brady has 31 and Brady has been in the league for 6 more seasons (5 counting his injured season).

So, why isn't Tony Romo the elite QB that's consider GOAT and the biggest NFL steal? I guarantee you if Romo and Brady switched places, Romo would be 10x better than Brady.

Biggest steal was the Hershel Walker trade......................not a 6th round or undrafted QB

Romo not even close to Brady, not even close.  Of course to the two inbred fan bases known as the Cowboys and Stains, they would argue based on stats but not on wins, intangibles such as clutch etc.  One could argue, that had Romo not had the misfortune of playing for such a shitty franchise, he may have a Super Bowl win.

I don't like the Cowboys. I just hate Brady, and Romo happens to be good enough to be used as an example  to show that Brady ain't so great.

Does every Appalachian redneck have this incredible infatuation with their bowels, or are you an exception!?

Don't you have a fence to pressure wash and a Mazda Miata to wax?.

    • NFL Network is showing the Carolina / Giants game from our 2015 season.  I'm just watching the tail end where Beckham scored on Norman and it showed Cam's "I got this" nod. Man, what a great drive.  In 2015, we simply played with more urgency, hunger, and the drive to be the best. Cam had the confidence because everyone was playing as hard as they could.   Going into 2017, if this team can get hungry again, they are going to be fun to watch!  The more I think about it, the dominance of that team wasn't some kind of magic, but rather in will.  They would not be denied. The good news is that they can find the motivation again.  Nothing special.  I know we're all in draft mode, but I'm feeling pretty excited for the season.  I think our team will come back motivated!
    • Didn't zeke take a lot of runs out of shotgun at Ohio state?? I didn't pay much attention to him when he was there but you really wouldnt have noticed last year that he wasn't use to running off of normal run hand off plays.
    • Might wanna check the numbers and see how Fournette did against Bama too.
