Let's see, the best player in New Orleans history (who is from NC by the way) thought the team and city was so shitty that he demanded a trade and the team hasn't been the same since.
I guess ironically, in a weird way... North Carolina kind of ruined the New Orleans franchise and put them in the dumpster where they belong while also taking back OUR NAME.
I think the little computer nerds call that check and mate.
Chris Paul left because the team had no owner and no direction. He loved, and still loves New Orleans. I'm sure you'll say that's just him being politically correct though.
The reality is that the moron of an owner who moved the team from Charlotte to begin with ruined the franchise for a few years. While I'm happy there's a pro team in New Orleans, Charlotte never should have been without a basketball team, and Shinn never should have owned one.
Anyway, I, like many Pelicans fans, don't blame Chris Paul for leaving. He was wasting his prime years away on a team heading no where any time soon. We ended up with AD, so all wasn't lost. Oh, and we got Eric Gordons knees! Hooray!
