"Scootch over, first round WRs"---Allen Robinson needs room

I like the wat Mayock summed up Robinson. Said he doesn't do anything great, he's not a great route runner, doesn't have great hands, but his overall make up is what makes him good. One of those "greater than the sum of the parts" type who you want on your team.

I didn't like how he didn't come up in a couple of big moments this past season.

He's got first round ability for sure.  Here's a positive review on him.

Allen Robinson scouting report

It sucks for these guys that they are coming out this year--a really stacked year.  This guy would have been a top 25 pick a year or two ago.

I got a feeling that Getty is not going to view him as the BPA at our pick.

That said, if he falls to us in the second, wouldn't piss me off.

just read a mock that came out today that had us taking Robinson at 28 (#5 WR taken behind Watkins, Evans, Lee, Beckham). Said: "He doesn't get a lot of praise in comparison to some of his peers, but he has sure hands, runs crisp routes and fights for every ball like it's the last reception of his career. Newton needs a rock to rely on in the passing game. Robinson is that and could very well be the No. 1 wideout in Carolina next season."

gone before our pick were:
OL Robinson, Matthews, Lewan, Martin, Kouandjio
CB Dennard, Gilbert, Fuller
S Clinton-Dix, Pryor

I would have spelled it "scooch." Scootch makes me read scotch, just drawn out like you're really excited about scooooooooootch.

I like Robinson better too. He's more aggressive to the ball (which is important for big receivers like them) and more polished. To each their own.

More aggressive to the ball seriously?

There's like 10 guys that have been listed as possible first round receivers: Watkins, Evans, Lee, OBJ, Cooks, Matthews, Robinson, Benjamin, Latimer, Landry, and maybe I'm forgetting some.

Your typical draft has 3-4 first round receivers, so not only will some of these guys be available at 28, a few will likely still be there at 60.

The most first round receivers taken recently was 2009 with six, the year the Giants took Nicks late in the first and then Barden in the third. Wouldn't mind if Gettleman is considering a similar strategy this year.

Probably, though he could opt to take as many as three and he may opt to take the first in round two.  If they can solve an OL issue in round one, it'd make plenty of sense to go that way.

I like this kid Bruce Ellington (Andre's cousin) a lot if he gets to the fifth, he'd be a potential steal and he can play inside and outside.

I hope we trade down and somehow end up with an extra 2nd or 3rd round pick. We could get two top WRs that could end up being good players but I don't see us getting but one good receivers past the second unless we move up.

Yes. I saw KB round off a lot of routes and just not coming back to the ball.
