I am a fan of the Carolina Panthers, the Charlotte Bobcats, the Carolina Hurricanes, UNC Wilmington Seahawks Basketball, SEC and ACC College Football, NASCAR and Small Market Major League Baseball.

I love any kind of music that makes me bob, bang or scratch my head.

I attended E.A. Laney H.S. (Michael Jordan's Alma Mater) in Wilmington, NC. Lettered in Wrestling. Go Bucs!

I have a fascination with Pirate lore, especially anything that has to do with Captain Edward Teach...AKA Blackbeard. My real name is not Edward Teach, by the way.

I love outdoor activities...Hunting, Camping, Fishing.

I served in the U.S. Navy as an Air Traffic Controller stationed at FACSFAC VACAPES on NAS Oceana in Virginia Beach, VA.

I graduated from UNCW (BA '01, MA '03). Majored in English Literature. Wrote my Master's Thesis on Reader Response Criticism and Native American Literature.

I teach English (Literature and Composition) classes at a Community College.
