#3249569 Thomas Robinson bought out by Nuggets... hmmm...

He's not going to be "real good" anywhere. Maybe in the d-league or China.

#3249404 PFT points out a glaring fact about the fastest combine receivers

There are some really good players on that list. Take any subset of NFL prospects and the success rate will be low. It's really really really tough to be a good NFL player.

#3248617 Jaguars and falcons to pursue Julius Thomas

Take away all his sacks, hurries, and hits allowed and Byron Bell is a great left tackle.

#3243779 For Whom the "Bell" Tolls? Beware, the Bell might toll for us

Posted by Keith Moons Liver on 16 February 2015 - 04:29 PM

I don't care if we address it before, during, or after the draft; but if we go into two consecutive seasons with Bell as our starting LT it has to be one of the biggest failures in NFL front office history.

#3240096 Unfortunate PR goof in Philly

Some people have such cushy lives they actively go out and search for things to get offended over.

#3225649 Seattle offers extension to Lynch

Posted by Keith Moons Liver on 01 February 2015 - 10:24 AM

It's hard to spin it as mismanagement when you make two superb owls in a row and win at least one of them. Every contender has a limited window, it's what happens with a salary cap. If you can draft consistently well over a long period of time you can extend it, but that's difficult and requires a lot of luck. Let's focus on opening our window to begin with before we start bashing far more successful franchises.

#3225643 Trade thread

Posted by Keith Moons Liver on 01 February 2015 - 10:17 AM

I'd be deeply upset if they traded away future assets like 1st round picks for guys well into their 30's. We're a piece away from being first round fodder, you don't mortgage your future for that.

#3205891 Lance should return Wednesday

Pretty shameful flop by PJ. Guys like him are what's wrong with the NBA today. This isn't soccer, have some respect for yourself and for the game.

#3205517 Ravens tell Smith to take a little time out

Posted by Keith Moons Liver on 14 January 2015 - 10:21 PM

Good grief are people really blaming Smith for Keary Colbert and Dwyane Jarrett sucking? There are legitimate criticisms of Smith, but this is just grasping for straws.

#3205506 Steve Smith attempted to fight Jermaine Wiggins after loss?

Posted by Keith Moons Liver on 14 January 2015 - 10:13 PM

We're upset about a bully in a league full of rapists and murderers? Yes, Smith is a jerk, but he was an amazing football player and provided us with years of entertainment. That's all that matters in the NFL.

#3201567 John Fox and Denver parting ways

Posted by Keith Moons Liver on 12 January 2015 - 07:43 PM

If you take away the first season where he inherited a 1-15 team and the last season when the owner raped him and tanked the entire team his record at Carolina was 64-48, with a super bowl and two championship game appearances and 3 division titles in 7 seasons. Thats with Rodney Peete, Jake Delhomme, David Carr, Testeverde, Matt Moore, and Jimmy Clausen. Foxxy never got enough credit here

Even better, take away all the games he lost and he was 73-0. Why did we ever fire this guy.

#3199026 Peyton (One and Done) Manning

Peyton looked done. It was very sad to see. Age will get all of us eventually.

#3198384 Cowboys drew ire of the football gods

Must be frustrating. Couldn't happen to a more deserving fan base.

#3197573 Per Jay Glazer, John Fox may be let go if Broncos lose today

Posted by Keith Moons Liver on 11 January 2015 - 02:15 PM

Yet Shula will keep his job.

#3197559 Byron Bell

Posted by Keith Moons Liver on 11 January 2015 - 02:12 PM

Going into the season with him as a starting tackle has to be one of the most colossal front office screw ups in franchise history.
