#3084828 Breaking down that 4th & 1 play..

Posted by restNChrist on 12 November 2014 - 10:06 PM

What I see is 2 underneath routes that were open and if Cam had rolled out the linebacker would have had to pressure Cam and he throws it to a wide open running back or the linebacker stays witht e running back who blocks him and Cam makes it with no problem.. Instead he throws is poorly to a double covered receiver. And somehow that was Shula's fault? You,guys are hopeless.

i was gonna post this if no one else did.... all Cam has to do is roll out.  He either draws the line backer and Stew is open before Cam crosses the LOS or Cam runs for the 1st.  Cam, regardless of what he says, was in pain and was not going to run.  Still should have hit Avant.

Rivera says "we just missed opportunities," "cam isn't injured that I know of but I'll check with trainers". Am I in the freaking twilight zone?

#3065059 How many young QB'S would trade situation with Cam?

Posted by restNChrist on 02 November 2014 - 08:57 PM

I actually like what the Jags have on O.

They drafted Allen Robinson (who I'm very high on) and Marqise Lee both in the 2nd. They signed Allen Hurns who has been great for them and still have Cecil Shorts and Mercedes Lewis when healthy. Jacksonville really isn't too far off and could be competitive sooner than later. They revamped the DL and I believe they're up there in sack total.

The Jags did more in this draft to help out Bortles after selecting him in the first than the Panthers have done for Cam in 4 years combined.

What about vice versa?    Put Cam in either one of those teams and no doubt the freaking Jags would have 2-3 more wins right now!  Put Blake Bortles here and we would have a big goose egg!

Bottom line is Jags and Raiders would be a better team with Cam then we are with Cam!    With 20 other QB's we are a worse team than we are now!

Take QB's out of the equation and we are probably the dead last team in the NFL!

People on this board can easily see when other QBs have bad games. It's all the QB's fault. Those QB's don't get the benefit of the doubt with bad oline or WR play.

you cam haters crack me up...

I'd say we see that other good QB's have bad games and no one starts calling for them to be benched!

#3064065 Foles just went out with shoulder injury

off topic but Miami is up 20 with 40 seconds and are marching down the field for more points!! wow what a great idea! I wish we do that sometime.

KILLER INSTINCT  - them dolphins are hungry like sharks

Panthers are hungry like puppy dogs just beat by a 350lb lumberjack hungover on Jack

#3059577 What is going on? Cam's QB rating keeps getting worse this season: 100.2,...

Posted by restNChrist on 30 October 2014 - 11:06 PM

Maybe not every game but tonight was more about Cam Newton failing then anyone else.

The OL did its job. The RB's did their job. The D got turnovers. The ST got decent or better field position.

10 pts at least from Newton mistakes by my quick recollection.

sorry but you are wrong...

OL did it's job?  5 sacks and many more overted by Cam's legs....

RB's did their job?  other than williams cut back to the other side of the field on the screen pass what did he do?   Stew ran good the 3 times he had the ball

D did get turnovers and two 20 minute drives that iced the game for us.... with that awesome wet paper towel 20 yard cushion

ST?   are you smoking crack cocaine?  our punter is good what else are you talking about

oh and you conveniently left out our stud recievers who dropped uh... 10 passes tonight, some for touchdowns!!!!!!!  give me a freaking break   Cam threw 28 passes and 10 were drops... are you mental... all you can remember is the three or four high passes!!!!!

also our play calling... are you saying the coaches did their job with that assanine. hail mary every 3rd down crap...

Posted by restNChrist on 30 October 2014 - 10:52 PM

ironically the play calling has the same decrease...hmmm

agree

playcalling has gotten worse, recievers have gotten worse... no check downs or dumps.... no olsen... no running back passes.... everything is 15 - 30 yard passes to KB

how in the world could you expect a QB to have a good rating with the play calls and reciever drops

#3059374 This one is on the refs!

#3050664 Mid-Field playcalling vs Red Zone playcalling

Posted by restNChrist on 28 October 2014 - 08:14 AM

Yes, lots of quick slants, quick outs, anything with the word quick in it.  They would thrive in that.  With our OL we need to become a dink and dunk offense.

it's how KC is winning, its how Arizona is 6-1 with the 25th worst offense in the league!  Funny how creative coaching can do wonders with sub-par talent!

#3049688 Ron says we could be looking at another OT

Posted by restNChrist on 27 October 2014 - 06:18 PM

No problem with the play calling in the redzone? Sounds like he wants to blame the players instead. I'm about done with Ron.

what he means is that he would've been fine with three red-zone trips and 13 points instead of 9.... the lack of execution is on KB...

this is the biggest indicator that RR is not the coach we need or deserve.   I want a freaking coach who isn't satisfied with anything less than 21 after three redzone trips!

#3049297 Mid-Field playcalling vs Red Zone playcalling

I hate that when we have a good play we never go back to it, yet we will go back to some garbage plays over and over. Its like Shula thinks if it worked once we can never use it again.

i agree 100.   For example... the only thing working for us the previous two games were OLSEN!  Where was he this week?   Shula must have been thinking... you know it worked so they'll expect it this week.   What they won't expect is that we don't even throw it to him at all!  3rd and 13 Draw!

#3049264 Why we lost yesterday!

Posted by restNChrist on 27 October 2014 - 03:27 PM

I live in Grand Rapids and don't have channels that show me the Panthers every week.  Normally I will gamecast it, listen over internet radio, or follow the game feed on here.  Yesterday I was extremely happy to be able to watch them play on CBS.  Why a NFC matchup on CBS?  i have no idea.

We lost because...

1) we settled for field goals when we should have been going for touchdowns.   3 Trips to the redzone and not one play designed for the endzone except the one that KB dropped.  This is on the OC.   We all know Shula is a paper tiger wrapped in a wet blanket, folding like a lawn chair...so no need to beat that dead dog anymore!

2) KB missing the TD!   This guy makes the easy grabs and misses the hard ones.  It's been his knock coming out of college and seems to be true!   The one long bomb he caught yesterday was amazing and over two of the best CB's in the game... and he misses a 15 yd layup for a TD....   I don't get it.  But he's a rookie and will only get better!

3) Cam's dumb pitch picked!   Not only was it a horrible decision but it also put him a funk that he couldn't recover from.  He is an exceptional talent and could be one of the best, but he needs to continue to mature in one area particularly... forgetting and moving on.  Quit sulking, put on your big boy pants and go win us a game!

4) Easier said than done when Bell is your LT.   The man was abused harder yesterday than any LT ever!  It was down right embarrassing!   Our Offensive line actually got an upgrade with Norwell but that is never enough to make up for what i believe may be the worst LT of all time!  He looks like he isn't even interested in trying to block someone.  On a few play he actually stayed in position and held out a hand... I kid you not the guy barely moved!   HOW IS HE STILL ALLOWED TO PLAY?

5) Wet paper-towel prevent defense by MCD!   Now with Cam as your QB you get acquainted with how hard it is for defenses to contain a mobile QB so kudos to Wilson for some of those runs on that last Seattle drive... but every play our DBs were miles away from the receivers.  They could have thrown 10 yard passes on every play the whole way down.  Honestly, who thought after two plays on that drive that we would stop them.  That's not on the defense as they had played a really good game all day... thats on crappy scheme for that last drive.  MCD prevented us from winning.   Reminds me of two years ago when we lost to the Falcons and the Bears on last minute drives in prevent defense.  Oh how we are reverting back to our old ways!

6) Roman Harper - not much to say here... he can't tackle, he can't cover, he can't play... confused why he's out there... especially if he is going to cost us precious timeouts for our last drive.

7) The last chance drive!  4th and long pitch  after sack after sack aft sack!   ?   What in the heck was that?   I'm still trying to figure this one out!  Perhaps the worst called last chance drive of the entire history of football.  Of course i haven't watched every game in the history of football but I'm taking an educated guess!

thoughts?
