In Topic: Is Cam Newton Really A Franchise QB

First of all to expect Cam to be as good as Brady, P. Manning and Brees in his 4th year is expecting a little to much. He may never be as good as those guys because quarterbacks like those guys are super rare. Cam is easily as good as Ryan, Stafford, Luck, Wilson, E. Manning and Rivers if not better than some of them.

Does he have his faults, sure he does, and he may never be as good as Brady, P. Manning or Brees when it comes to passing. That doesn't mean we start looking for a new quarterback.

Cam has helped us win games that we otherwise would not have won had he not been our quarterback and we still had Clausen or Delhomme. Give him a few more years and I think he will become a better passer.

Ron and other coaches know that you can't win just being a running quarterback. That's why they have been working on getting him to be more patient with his reads instead of running the ball.

Be glad we have a dynamic quarterback that is only going to get better instead of whining and wanting to replace him.

In Topic: Predictions:Who's going to be cut?

Bell looks like an all pro brick wall on one play and gets beat like a drum on the next. He is consistently inconsistent. I really hope he figures it out soon.

This is why we need  J-Stew who can hit hole faster and still have power!  BTW Cam wouldn't have been denied if it was his carry!

I didn't know you could run the ball from the exercise bike.

In Topic: Now it's 2-4 weeks with Stewart

Stewart is straight up robbing this team. He pretty much misses training camp every year. Plays a third of the games and laughs all the way to the bank. At this point, i wonder if he is claiming he is hurt when he is not just to be able to skip training camp and such.

In Topic: Bell Can Succeed at Left Tackle

20 May 2014 - 09:08 AM

I'm usually not one to argue or question the coaching staff on their decisions. However, with that being said, in no way do i believe Bell can handle the LT position with any positive outcome. He is a backup on any other team. He plays the RT spot very poorly.

If we start the season with Bell at LT then i really feel sorry for Cam. If he performs even average or above average i will come back and eat my crow.
