Have they been cut or traded the way he has though?
It was personal, so it's going to stay personal to Steve for a while. The question is why are you guys bitter. Its not like he said fug the fans. This falls on Dave and Ron. And let's be clear if you consider what Dave & Ron did as including you, well I guess you should be bitter
Or maybe its because a lot thought he wouldn't have the year he's had, the year Ravens has had and many thought we're better off with Dave 3rd stringers
I think fans sometimes have a fairy tale view of a player staying on the same team their whole career, winning a Super Bowl, and retiring on top.
I don't see how what happened with Steve was different than any other player that gets cut, and I've seen nothing outside of fan speculation that it was somehow personal.
Not sure Cam would succumb to the "David Carr" effect. Cam has played at a high level in the NFL and he knows he can play. Cam understands that it's his team mates and not him. 2 pro bowls in 3 years
David Carr was ruined from day one. Beaten into a pulp like a baby seal.
I don't think that "The David Carr Effect" is indicative of a player believing in his ability to play at a high level.
I think it's more because a player gets hit so early and so often, seemingly every single snap with Cam, that it hinders his development drastically and his ability to go through his progressions.
It looks to me like Cam gets absolutely hammered so often that even when there isn't pressure in his face, which again, is almost every snap, he is so used to getting hit that he gets rid of the ball with bad mechanics, no progressional reads, just flingin' it downfield.
I wholeheartedly agree that Cam should be IR'd for his health and his development. If DA comes in with this poo team an looks good, then maybe we can give some credibility to the people that think it's Cam that is the problem. If he looks like hot dogshit, then we saved Cam a beating and a shell-shocked psyche, and try to retool this thing for next year.
Hardy won't be back because of a technicality. Yeah, he signed the agreement to not come back until the case was adjudicated, but that was understood to be in November. If he misses more it's his lawyer or the PA he should be mad at for not having the foresight to know the case was likely to get pushed back. It's sad because his case is less appalling than either of those two, but he truly believes himself to be innocent and isn't trying to just plea some bullshit to come back.
The NFL is not punishing Hardy by placing him on paid leave. The only ones getting punished are Panthers fans and Hardy's teammates. This whole thing makes me sick.
