#2858091 DGantt's 2014 Panthers preview spectacular

Posted by Montsta on 19 July 2014 - 03:18 PM

It's funny how people say we lost all of our receivers as if they were good, but then in the Ravens season preview they mention how Smitty probably doesn't have much left in the tank.

So did we lose a good player or didn't we?

Sorry guys, Warriors! !!

#2853966 Hardy found guilty

Bottom line is this.

Greg will be suspended by Goodell at least a couple of games. If the team can levy its own punishment after that, they will, but it will be minor. Greg will play out his franchise contract here. He will sign as a free agent somewhere else next year (probably oakland), and we will get a compensation 3rd rounder.

At least that's how I see it.

You are the company you keep. Didn't your momma teach you anything???

I suppose this is true.

So buy hanging out with a crazy person who refers to himself in the 3rd person as a fictional monster who attended school at a non-existent wizard academy, the accuser in this case could and should have pretty much expected that one day he would snap and beat the poo out of her. After all, it's her fault for keeping that kind of company. And because a hazard was inherent in keeping that kind of company, no charges should be able to be filed against said company when the poo hits the fan.

Now we are both intelligent enough to know that sounds pretty absurd.

#2853759 2014 Adopt a Panther

What a great year to adopt Greg Hardy! This couldn't have worked out any better!

Why do folks here keep putting themselves in the same situation as a player as if it is at all comparable. If you fiance is bigger than you then that is not analogous to Hardy who is 6'4" and 290. So anything you say after that is irrelevant.
If you hang out with rough woman then whose fault is that? You deserve what you get then.. I make it a general rule not to hang out with aggressive mentally unstable woman who can kick my butt. So do you apparently, so again I don't see any of your post is relevant to his situation.

So if a guy hangs out with rough women, he deserves what he gets?

If a woman is dressed like a slut and drinking in a hotel room with a bunch of horny men, and wakes up to discover she was raped, does she deserve what she gets?

Simply hanging out with rough or shady characters should never be an automatic indictment on a person for what happens next.

#2853692 NFL.com: Cam Newton primed to regress

Posted by Montsta on 16 July 2014 - 08:49 AM

He may have some valid points, but I don't think it's a crazy rebuttal in the least if one were to counter his argument by saying our WR's are absolutely better than we had last year, our interior O-line is better than last year, our RT is the same as last year, and if Nate Chandler can play to potential, our LT situation might not be nearly as bad as people are expecting. Stewart seems healthy for the first time in his NFL career, and Cam keeps getting better and better at his craft.

All in all, I think our offense can go from 28th to low 20's, which paired with the defense being better than last year, puts the Panthers right back in the playoffs.

#2853198 Hardy court thread : for all things that happen in court today

Posted by Montsta on 15 July 2014 - 11:03 PM

Don't feel like digging through thread and wasn't around to follow live tweets. Who did police testimony benefit more? Some say Hardy, others say Holder.

Honestly it's difficult to say from the updates I was reading. On one hand they said she was taking off from the cops when they arrived, and said he had injuries, but then they also said that he could have cleaned up all his guns so they didn't bother going into the apartment to search for them.

Now I understand getting info from social media isn't the best practice in court cases, but it seemed like pretty shoddy police work for the guys on the scene IMO.

How can you listen to the 911 tape, hear her admit that she was coked up and drunk, and still think he initiated an assault on her?

Yeah can someone explain the 60 day suspension?

A 60 day suspended sentence means he has to be on probation for whatever the court says, I think in this case it's 18 months.

During that 18 months he must comply with the courts orders. This means complying with any court imposed fines, court ordered counseling, complying with court restraining orders, paying restitution, etc.

If he complies with all court orders, he won't go to jail, ergo his sentence is suspended. If he fugs up any part of what the court says, he is going to go to jail for 60 days.

Source: I've been arrested...many, many times.

It's not only possible, but most likely. Panther fans are ridiculous, will defend a player through anything.

Lol weren't you like 5 minutes from going on a killing spree to defend the memory of Steve Smith after we cut him?

Funny Brees keeps opening his mouth on this when it's his gigantic contract that is screwing everybody else on that team.

#2850089 Madden 15 Features Cam Newton in "The Gauntlet"

Posted by Montsta on 14 July 2014 - 12:01 PM

The only game available worth buying at the time was Call of Duty Ghosts and Madden 25 which was a useless thing to get given the game didn't even take advantage of the next-gen technology. To be honest I don't even know what games are out right now.

Let me know if Halo comes out and I'll try to revive it.

I only use my xbone for bf4, and only use my Ps4 for mlb the show 14. Even then it's rare I have time to play anymore.
