#2683090 Thanks, Steve

Posted by ThPantherFan on 11 March 2014 - 08:35 AM

I hope this is premature, but eventually it will happen.  Very well put, Mr. Scot.  I would love to see Steve retire a Panther and go into retirement happy but if he feels he can go another year, so be it.  Go for it.  I'll follow what he does.  Will be missed in a Panther uniform for sure.  All professional sports has a business side.  It is time to trust the front office and see what the Panthers can do.  If Steve plays for someone else, I hope he retires a Panther.

#2641499 Is NFL games being thrown

Is they now? :)

Is they is or is they isn't?  It is what it is or isn't depending upon perspective.  I'm glad we can laugh.  I sure hope the gramarians on this board don't take life so seriously.  It's a message board not a thesis.  I can only guess what they do with tweets. :)

Broncos success isn't because of Fox.  Manning runs that offense.

Oh, haven't we both. This is the year, where Carolina realizes they'd have to draft a talent at WR in the Draft.

Poor Gettis.

#2590045 NOW CONFIRMED? Harbaugh Inviting Ric Flair For Speech Was Shot Across The Bo...

I have read all 5 pages and find it entertaining.  First, Ric will go with who will pay him.  Big deal.  He's an entertainer and makes money doing such.  I find it funny that Harbaugh would bring him in for a pep rally.  I don't think that upset any of the Panther fans.  Actually it looks bad on his part thinking it would upset us or that we would think it a slap.  Can't wait until next Sunday.  It will be a battle.  Who is 48ohnoshopuss anyway?  May the best team win and no debilitating injury to any player.

It's nice.  Cam still scares me.  The look on his face is not the same as 2nd half of the season.

#2568961 Head Coach McDermott?

That's always a threat from year to year.  They can't talk to him while we're still playing so hopefully we will play way into next year.  SB, I mean.

Posted by ThPantherFan on 25 December 2013 - 09:24 AM

Getting ready to throw 20 pounds of ribeye on the smoker. Will pull around 115 and finish in the oven on 500 until the meat is around 135. My wife is making her hash brown casserole, bacon wrapped green beans, sweet potatoes, rolls, and a fug load if desserts!

If there is anyone in the Hickory area with no where to go you are more than welcome at our house! Drop me a pm if interested!

I'm near Asheville.  Just an hour away.  I'll be there.  I love some hash brown casserole.  Okay, smoked ribeye is good too.  Ha!

We are doing something different this year.  Kids are grown and they are shuffeling families so we decided on a Christmas brunch.  Kids drop in around 10AM.  We have the traditional ham, yams, rolls and veggies but I'll have the griddle set up for eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy.  This is going to be good.  Have a great day everyone.

#2538091 Carolina Huddle Sack Lunch Drive (an opportunity to do some good)

Posted by ThPantherFan on 09 December 2013 - 02:09 PM

I love to just drop it off and they don't know where it came from.  I had a niece that was in need.  Husband had walked out on her and 2 kids.  I put a weeks worth of groceries on the porch and she was telling everyone that she couldn't believe what had happened.  To this day she doesn't know where it came from.  She has since gotten squared away and those kids have grown into fine young men.  I'm proud of her accomplishments.  Anyway, enough of that.  I hope everyone that can, will do something for those that can't.

When it comes to feeding kids don't be ashamed to let the local fire department, church, etc. know what you need.  There's plenty of people that will help and enjoy doing it.  Those true people that help doesn't ask for a thing in return.  If I needed help, I wouldn't hesitate.

btw...i may be developing this idea further in the next week or so if it does a little bit of good. this was just a thought i had pop in my head that i probably could organize better.

Count me in too.  There's a lot of kids, here in the mountains, that don't get the proper nourishment.  My family will get a name from our church or local fire department and we'll go drop it on the door step.
