I had an account before the site took a terrible crash a few years ago. I didn't get around to signing back up until 08 or 09. My life was very busy for a while and didn't post or contribute much, mostly lurked for Panther info. Now that I have some things cleared up I can contribute more.
There have been some crazy stories on here. The couch debacle, and that horse dude stick out for me mostly.
Crazy stories is telling it mildly. Back in the day.....well, we will not go there. I rember that crash and many mini ones.
How many old timers are around? I know I've been here a very long time. I believe some have changed their screen name or what ever it's called. Is there away to put on the posts how long someone has been a huddler? I think you started us over once or twice because I have less than 1000 posts but I do know I had many more than that originally. Would be fun to see. This is more than a message board. Thanks.
Cant we have one thread where we dont attack and bash each other! This thread on this weekend should not turn into a pissing contest. Thank you to all that served and i am grateful to all those who made the ultimate sacrifice protecting the freedoms i love!! God Bless America!!!!!

Memorial Day is for those who died in service, not Vets in general.
Thank you and RIP to those who paid the ultimate price.

You're very correct but a lot of people like to recognize the veterans because of their willingness to give their life. Nothing should ever be taken from those that gave their life. No higher sacrafice for freedom can be given.
I wanted to give a big thanks to all veterans on the huddle.
I don't know why, maybe because of my aging days, but tears swelled up in my eyes when I read this.
I was talking just yesterday with someone about things have changed since Vietnam. It is so wonderful to see people appreciate what these young men and women face on a daily basis. You don't know unless you've been there. I was made to feel ashame for what I had volunteered to do. I now have two Marine verterans, both combat veterans, and to see society accept them with open arms warms my heart about humanity.
WE are a great Nation. We are not perfect but we are the GREATEST. To all veterans know this; I will stand arm in arm with you and fight to the bitter end so that all those that don't believe have the freedom to not believe.
Thanks, Jarhead. That meant a lot to read this morning.
I hope this is premature, but eventually it will happen. Very well put, Mr. Scot. I would love to see Steve retire a Panther and go into retirement happy but if he feels he can go another year, so be it. Go for it. I'll follow what he does. Will be missed in a Panther uniform for sure. All professional sports has a business side. It is time to trust the front office and see what the Panthers can do. If Steve plays for someone else, I hope he retires a Panther.
Is they is or is they isn't? It is what it is or isn't depending upon perspective. I'm glad we can laugh. I sure hope the gramarians on this board don't take life so seriously. It's a message board not a thesis. I can only guess what they do with tweets.
