I'm sitting here trying to push one out sideways

What is it with you and pooping?

#3204881 Will Josh Norman command a big contract next offseason?

Posted by Gallagher on 14 January 2015 - 02:37 PM

Cam Newton
Luke Kuechly
Greg Olsen
Thomas Davis
Mike Tolbert
Josh Norman

That is a scary list of free agents coming up next year. Hopefully we can:

1. Sign Newton to a long term franchise QB contract. 7 years $110 mil or something like that. Whatever it takes really.

2. Pick up the 5th year option on Kuechly so we can space out the spending between Cam and Luke.

3. Give TD a reasonable 2 year contract so he can retire a Panther

4. Sign Olsen to a 4-5 year contract if the price is right (Olsen worries me the most, as we might not be able to afford him)

5. Extend Norman this year while he's still cheap as it's looking like he's going to continue to establish himself as a premiere corner next year

6. Let Tolbert walk. I love him, but we haven't used him effectively since he's been here and he'll be 30 next year.

That's my 2 cents anyway.

#3200622 McDermott to interview with Jets

I think Wilks would make a fine DC. What he got out of Boston, Benewikere and Norman this year has been impressive.

#3187205 Any huddles going to Seattle for the game?

Posted by Gallagher on 08 January 2015 - 02:51 PM

I to want to meet up on Saturday..... Just was passing the word on the Friday thing I found.

Good poo on the Friday meetup. May or may not swing by for that, my flight gets in just a few hours before then.

We ought to coordinate a meet up for tailgating, a specific spot in the parking lot for Panther fans to gather or something.

Just got my tickets and couldn't be more excited. We all ought to coordinate some sort of Panthers tailgate.

Fire away!

How'd Dallas beat you in the Clink earlier this year?

#3183083 BIllboard in Seattle after win

We need to have a billboard go up in downtown Seattle after the win.

To all the players that are lurkers on this board (yes, there are some), this is your chance to do something special.

I really like the idea that there are players on our team that read the Huddle. If any of you are out there, best of luck!

#3182771 We Can't Let Russell Wilson Slide on Us

Posted by Gallagher on 06 January 2015 - 01:41 PM

Let someone on one of the 'hawks boards make a post like the OP and OMFG would the bitching and moaning and "classless" comments rain down on this place like a monsoon.

Fug their candy asses. It's a contact sport and this is playoff football. There's going to be blood and guts everywhere.

#3182742 We Can't Let Russell Wilson Slide on Us

Posted by Gallagher on 06 January 2015 - 01:27 PM

So Russell Wilson loves to slide. It's probably because he's so low to the ground already that it just comes easy for him. I swear sometimes, I think that he forgets that he's not playing baseball. We've got to remind him that this is football. It's going to fall on the back end to lay the wood before he can get down. I'm talking Kuechly, Davis, Norman, Benwikere, Harper, Jones and Boston. If this Bruno Mars looking mother F-er wants to step out the pocket and pick up yards on us, then we have to make him pay with pain. We cannot let him impose his will on us by sliding.

Moreover, when he's in the pocket we've got to hit him. Even if we can't get the sack, we've got to get hits, hurries and knockdowns. Unpopular opinion here, but I personally wouldn't even be opposed to an early 15 yard penalty for a late hit, just to set the tone and let him know from the get-go, "We're going to hit you." It's about attitude and imposing our will.

Real QBs take hits.

#3180303 DeAngelo Williams vs Frank Alexander

Posted by Gallagher on 05 January 2015 - 12:06 PM

I would rather deactivate Joe Webb or Carrington Byndom and rotate in both #34 and #90.

As much as people like to talk about how much better Stewart is than Williams these days (which is true), I think we'll need them both to beat Seattle, with a healthy dosage of Cam and Tolbert too.

I think that against this Seattle secondary (their LBs don't scare me) running the rock 30+ times while passing it only 20-25 is the way to go.
