#3137155 Cleveland's Top 2 CBs Could Be Out This Week

Posted by Gallagher on 15 December 2014 - 11:55 AM

Joe Haden is getting an MRI on his shoulder today and Justin Gilbert likely got a concussion yesterday. With the Browns being 2 games out of the Wildcard and a game and a half out of the division, I doubt they rush either of them back. This is big because with those guys, they had the best secondary in the league. Without them, either Cam or DA should be able to throw all over.

7-8-1, fug the Saints, Playoffs?!?! etc etc.

#3128920 Anderson will start against the Bucs

Posted by Gallagher on 10 December 2014 - 02:26 PM

With our new oline playing so well I think we'll be ok. I rewatched the game against the Saints and Remmers really stood out. He seems to be very smart and he's also really strong. Occasionally #94 was able to give him a good swim move but I only saw 1 time where he actually got beat. He made a lot of good combo blocks and was fuging up the linebackers all game. I think we may actually have something in him and Norwell we'll see how he does the rest of the way

Totally agree. Watching that game, all I could think was 'How was this guy not signed to a squad before?'

#3126872 Cam Involved in serious car wreck, reportedly uninjured

First and foremost, thank God Cam is ok. Beyond being our QB, he is a great human being who is an inspiration to many. Moreover, the dude is our franchise for the next decade, so this odd season aside, we're going to need him 100% by next fall.

On a lighter note, even if he misses time, Derek Anderson torched the Bucs once before and I'm sure he could do it again.

#3125486 Dead Money This year

5 million dollars divided by 16 games is $312,500.00. We paid Steve Smith three hundred thousand dollars to kick our asses.

#3125074 Opinions on Mario Addison and Ealy

Posted by Gallagher on 08 December 2014 - 12:27 PM

Addison is better right now, but Ealy will be better in time.

I hope we can pick up a rotational/depth DE in th 3rd, 4th or 5th round of the draft, hopefully after we've scored some O-Lineman, a WR and a S.

#3124278 Steve Smith back to his threatening ways.

Posted by Gallagher on 07 December 2014 - 11:18 PM

God, I love me some Smitty.

If the Panthers don't make the playoffs, I'm going to be rooting for the Ravens and Packers, just because it'd be great to see Smith or Peppers get a ring.

#3085879 How many think we will get blown out by ATL

Posted by Gallagher on 13 November 2014 - 06:51 PM

Y'all pessimistic motherfugers need Jesus. Every blowout loss we've had this year, save GB who legitimately beat us, has been on the back of just a few big plays: long runs, special teams coverage breakdowns, freak turnovers, etc. We're still a good team, we just had some bad breaks against PIT, BAL, NO, and PHI.

Maybe we got lucky on some turnovers weeks 1 and 2, and the Steelers game was just the universe balancing itself out.

Maybe our defense was missing Greg Hardy, not just on the field but on a psychological level as well.

Maybe the Steelers' dink and dunk, screen play, short passing game just matches up poorly with our strength of pass rushing.

Maybe Bell's 81 yard run to put the game away, right between Star and Kawaan, Luke and TD, and Harper and Decoud, was just a freak play we can write off as an anomaly.

Either way, I expect our defense to come away from this game pissed off and stronger than it was before. If I were Joe Flacco, I'd be scared.
