But you still haven't answered the biggest question here: Why the hell is a grown man watching MTV?
BTW, New Orleans is the butthole of this country. How do you feel knowing that 2/3 of the rivers in this country exit the continental US from your back door? (pun intended)... Those waters down there have so much nastiness and filth from feces, waste, and pesticides that it really is hard to fathom.
I know having disgusting birthmarks on the face is a cool thing for Saints fans, but sooner or later you have to agree that birth defects common in Louisiana is just down right embarrassing; much more than a fake movie filmed for 13 year olds.
Since we are talking about movies, lets take a look at what each state has given us:
NC: The Crow, Iron Man, Hunger Games, Bull Durham, Hannibal, Green Mile, The Fugitive, Forest Gump, Dirty Dancing, Last of the Mohicans, Cold Mountain, The Black Knight, and HBO series Eastbound and Down to name a few.
LA: Dukes of Hazard (movie), Harold and Kumar escape Guantanamo Bay, Texas Chainsaw 3D, and Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins
when will it stop though? I just think it is a very slippery slope when you have uncle sam telling a business owner to change the name of his company because it may or may not offend someone. And for you supporters of a name change, yall do realize you are the vast MINORITY in this matter? I get sick of being called an ignorant bigot, (which is completely opposite of who I am), just because I am not a part of the 15-20% of the population who whine long and loud enough to get my way.
I went to school a hundred years ago at High Point Central HS and was a Bison. You want to know what happened to the Bison that used to roam the continental US? The Indians ran them off cliffs!
I am in no way, shape, or form a racist of any kind. It's the slippery slope of taking a word literally and then finding someone to be offended by it... It would, however, help if the men in this country took off their girlfriend's skinny jeans and let those puppies breath for a minute.
PC is killing this country. Nobody thought of the Washington Redskins in a derogatory way until the libtards made a big stink of it... Kind of surprised they haven't changed the name "Football" yet. The name seems to make the rest of the world mad at the US for taking the world's game of "Football" and making a completely different sport but use its name. Pretty sure that in itself upsets and offends far more people than a few Indians.
went back in March for business, stayed at the Hilton Riverside down near the Quarter... Food was unfreakinbelievable and the women were good lookin, (not sure if they were locals or tourists though). The French Quarter is overrated imo. Personally, I left kind of feeling a little icky. Not to mention it sucked seeing so many bums with dogs. If you can't feed yourself, how you going to feed a dog that is completely dependent on your own well-being?
Bar man at the hotel was cool and insightful. He'd lived there for 45 years and swears that Katrina was a "cleansing", both spiritually and socially for the city. He likened it to nature's way of pruning.
Overall was a pretty fun trip, but nothing could deter my hatred for the Saints.
Yea I purposely pulled against Bailey last year just because he was a jackass talking about Cam like that. It's funny I tend to hold lifetime grudges against players that talk crap about Panthers... Marcel Darius, Alex Smith, Von Miller, Aqib Talib, Deangelo Hall, most Saints, and unfortunately Roman Harper. (although it seems that Harper is actually a pretty cool dude. My hatred will go away when I see him in his new jersey).
I've argued this before and I'll do it again... Jordan Gross was a hell of a left tackle and obviously the best this franchise has ever had. At Jordan's retirement press conference, he sent 3 not-so-subtle hints at DG about how Byron Bell should be the starting left tackle of this football team. If Jordan Gross decided to use his last remaining hour of being a Carolina Panther to push the Bell wagon at this front office then I think we should take his word for it, and if you don't... Get over it! We didn't draft a tackle, we might as well support Byron Bell.
That is all.
Go ahead and sign me up for the Bell fan club, although it seems I may be all by myself.
DG is obviously trying build the most intimidating front 7 in the league, and I think the Defensive End position is shaping up to look a lot like the 07 Giants superbowl team. Strahan, Tuck, and Umenyiora had 9, 10, and 13 sacks for the season, with 20 more sacks from the rest of the team.
Hardy, Johnson, and Ealy along with Hall/Addison make a damn good D-end group. Potentially great.
There is literally nothing in the world that could get me so amped on a Sunday afternoon than seeing 89 snag a ball out of double coverage and jump up immediately and spin the ball to the ground and let the DB's know who's boss.
Or when after a running play, the camera would always flash down to the bottom of the screen and catch Smitty beating the hell out of some corner; then seeing the entire offense running to his defense in case things escalate.
Steve Smith is and will always be my favorite athlete in all of sports.
I think the Carolina Panthers will be consistently good with Cam and Luke as the lead dogs for years to come, but I am not ashamed to admit I hope 89 gets his Superbowl, no matter where he will soon reside.
