#3228282 Russell Wilson is smoke and mirrors.

Posted by PghPanther on 02 February 2015 - 10:52 AM

Wilson is a bright and capable QB but other than Jake I've never seen someone throw so many high arching deep balls and hope their receivers go up and get them to such success.................that is not a good deep ball passing QB.........that is one lucky SOB QB when it comes to that aspect of his game.............

#3223994 Can't decide who to pull for on Sunday.

You guys are making this too hard on yourselves.....................play a block pool and root for your numbers each quarter and you will care less what team is winning as long as you have a shot at getting your numbers at the quarter's end...

That's the way to watch a SB when you realize you don't want either team to win........

#3223988 What is the #1 headline you want to hear this offseason?

Jerry Jones and NFL Officials arrested at Dallas brothel.........

#3222409 Greg Olsen on the Colin Cowherd show

Posted by PghPanther on 28 January 2015 - 12:32 PM

The entire NFL respects the heck out of Greg Olsen. Fans outside of Panther fans don't know him. Great interview, thanks!

I can assure you that fans of Chicago where he played continue to hold him in high respect.

#3213583 McCarthy was too conservative

the whole first half I kept thinking................GB you are going to pay for that move................and that move and that move........(all those FGs that is)..............

Then I had a sense that fake Hawks FG was coming and I knew that GB would be in trouble at that point in the game because the Hawks were willing to risk it all which you should in a game like this!

Man GB looked like Rivera game strategy on steroids. When will an offense remember to move the chains when you have the lead at the end of a game........and more importantly when will a defense play like the first quarter of the game instead of the gawd awful prevent defense that just gives up yards after yards at the end when they think they have enough points to win?

Man play the game full bore from start to finish.........and if you screw up late in the game you screw up.......but I'd rather have it left on the field by the effort than for the screw up to come from the strategy on the sidelines..............

All that said I hate GB and laughed my ass off for the last 4 mins...........

#3213023 Deflate-Gate: Patriots Being Investigated For Deflated Footballs

I found it interesting that an officials time out during the game held up play because they didn't have the right ball on the line of scrimmage for NE by the ball boy?.....................First time I ever saw that in a game.

Does anyone remember when NE won a playoff game with a snow plow clearing the ground for the FG kicker to have a clean kick.......but that plow was no where to be found for the opposing team when they had to kick a FG.

Demographics, culture, transplants along with the time of existence of an NFL franchise are all contributing factors.........don't forget the PSL format for the construction of the stadium is highly favorable to those individuals with such income or a business if that be the case of owning those seats.....but it doesn't touch the tax dollars of the general public like so many other stadiums that see the team and facility as "theirs"

I grew up in Pgh and have attended many games in Pgh, Philly, Cleveland, Buffalo, etc......................and can tell you from a broad brush demographic that you deal with a more working class type fan......and its also a lot easier to get into trouble there if you are looking for it.......especially if you let alcohol be your guide.

......and when you mix alcohol and passion in life you tend to get two things as a result............ a lot of unplanned babies....................and/or........... a lot of unplanned fights....

#3186445 RR not ruling out calling up Hill

Posted by PghPanther on 08 January 2015 - 08:25 AM

Running route decoys in a convincing fashion and blocking for other teammates who are carrying the ball is grunt work but its what WRs spend most of their time on the field doing.........when they are not catching and/or running with the ball they are in some respect high priced linemen...........

Some WRs struggling in learning to be productive with this grunt work............from either learning the system an offense deploys........or developing the skill sets of that role...............or in some cases managing the emotions of spending so much time not being able to make a direct contribution for what they have dedicated to conditioning and practiced their whole lives but do so little of........

#3179800 It is difficult to figure out Cam?

Posted by PghPanther on 05 January 2015 - 07:02 AM

I'm curious of your opinion on this.....

Watching the game this weekend there were numerous times the camera showed a close up of Cam in the huddle and his expressions and movement of his body getting up and down off one knee in the huddle looked like he was spent and beat up..........I really thought he would end up coming out of the game.

Then at the end of the game when it was certain we won he started jumping around bright eyed and smiling again......

Now I understand Cam doesn't take pain shots before games (a wise thing to consider because pain can be a warning sign of more impending issues that shouldn't be ignored)

and I also realize that Cam is a guy who wears his emotions on his sleeve.......so he is really up or really down at times.......(Jake was like that too)....

But in observing this through the game it makes me wonder....................Just what really is the status of Cam going into the next game?

I don't know if he might have the game of his life or fall completely apart from a hidden physical issue?

Its difficult for me to wonder what is going on with him.................I'm all ears for any ideas of how I should take his reactions through a game.

#3179778 Sign suggestions for Seattle?

Posted by PghPanther on 05 January 2015 - 06:26 AM

I would go with "Fu(k the Seahawks"

I've always had a creative mind

Try this...................and see if you get it.

"Suck the Feahawks"

#3176990 Goldie locks has to be benched immediately

Posted by PghPanther on 04 January 2015 - 10:45 AM

He has been underwhelming all year................we are talking about a person who can catch a punt or act responsible around the ball when kicked to them...............do you see how crazy this is?

No one is even approaching the idea of what is his return average........................like we would if any capable punt returner..

Its like having a kid on your pee wee team that is required to play every game so you stick him in and hope he doesn't blow it....

That fact we are having a thread on this is enough of a problem.................if that we GB or Seahawks that could have been a game killer of which we may have never recovered from.
