#2887516 don't panic...Greg Olsen has a cramp

Posted by BelgianPantherFan on 12 August 2014 - 10:17 AM

I can't copy tweets somehow, but Jonathan Jones tweeted this:

"Carted off" implies he couldn't walk off field. Olsen could. Long walk to training room though.

#2887417 Thomas DeCoud Question

I'm still wondering why we didn't resign Mikell. I don't know the story if he just wants to retire though...but he is still out there.

#2833087 Here is the thing about Belgium v. USA

Posted by BelgianPantherFan on 27 June 2014 - 01:47 AM

Good luck guys. Will be a nice battle between two different styles of soccer. As someone mentioned, Belgium has one of the youngest squads of the WC, they however all have experience at the highest level, so I don't expect the stage to be too big for them.

I think it'll be a close game. We qualified with 3 wins, but the quality of the play hasn't been what they are capable of.

Oh and btw, half of Belgium speaks French, half Flemmish (Dutch-alike language), and we just kick ass at making beer. Cheers! :)

#2807354 An entire NFL Division overseas?

Posted by BelgianPantherFan on 03 June 2014 - 06:51 AM

I went to a Londen game last year, and from my perspective, Europe may be ready for some extra NFL-games (they upgraded from 2 to 4 this year), but a full division overseas? No, I can't see this going well.

Lots of attendees of those Londen games are foreign people. I spoke to Danish, German, French, etc.. I don't think those people will travel that far to attend those games every week. And in England, NFL is not that big of a deal compared to soccer.

At least we got a Tour de France winner candidate in Stewart, right?

#2710069 Why has Hardy not be signed to a long term contract?

Posted by BelgianPantherFan on 21 March 2014 - 09:30 AM

I've been thinking about this scenario for a while, but maybe Gettleman isn't that eager to give Hardy his monster contract. With the CJ-contract, and Hardy looking for CJ-money, we could be loaded at DE for some years, not quite the best scenario with the contracts of Cam, Luke and Star coming up...

Maybe Gettleman/Rivera thinks that Alexander / Addison / Horton could fill in for Hardy quite fine with another year unther their belt. That would lower the cap size at DE with a huge chunk. With Star and Short that continue to grow as a player, CJ as an All-Pro DE, we don't need another huge contract to have a great front 4.

Also, if we let him play under his franchise tag this season, and Hardy signs a big contract elsewhere, we get a compensation pick, right? That could be a 2nd / 3th round pick, and could get us another solid, cheap and young starter.

#2706962 Lafell disses Cam?

It's more like a compliment to Cam. Offcourse he's not a HOF QB yet.

#2706222 Lets be honest the only bad move Getts has made is releasing Smitty

Posted by BelgianPantherFan on 19 March 2014 - 09:03 AM

it was personal.it will always be personal and that is why it is such crap to extoll the business virtues of g-man.

With all due respect, but that is just incorrect. Smitty's contract was way too loaded for the next two years.
