When you make it easier to become a citizen the legal way it does. People who break the rules don't deserve to skip the line ahead of those that do.

#2863634 Justin Blackmon, not Josh Gordon, is now the dumbest player in the NFL

Posted by CarolinaCoolin on 24 July 2014 - 05:24 PM

I can't wait for the day talented kids like him don't have to lose their jobs and what they are good at just because of some pot. Decades upon decades of fear mongering by Reagan and Nixon put this irrational fear of a plant we still are feeling the effects of

#2862734 Matt Ryan vs Cam Newton, who's better?

Posted by CarolinaCoolin on 24 July 2014 - 03:47 AM

Glorified runningback that occasionally throws vs. top ten cemented NFL quarterback.

Yeah I'll take Ryan every time.

Cam didn't win a game when the opposing team scored 21+ last season.

The defense carried him.

Meanwhile, Ryan proved he could still have a good season with Julio/Roddy axed most of the year and turned Harry Douglas into a 1,000 receiver.

He didn't have a defense, O-line, or running game to back him up either.

Sorry but without a defense Cam Newton is a chucker that accumulates mostly empty yards.

On the other hand, Ryan proved he can still have a decent season with his top two options gone and literally no help around him at all.

And I can already tell there's going to be replies about the record, but that's not the point here. This is individuals.

And when you compare the situations they were in with their QB stats....

It simply further proved Ryan>Newton. Newton will probably never be better until he learns to consistently throw the football instead of just chucking it 30 yards in a general direction.

Newton has a lot of potential, but at this point that's all that is. Potential.

He has yet to prove himself to be up there with the top tier QBs in this league.

And award for most bias opinion on a message board goes to..

#2861595 As you have grown up have you become more liberal or more conservative?

Posted by CarolinaCoolin on 23 July 2014 - 05:01 AM

I grew up very liberal. And while I definitely still hold onto my liberal values on social and moral issues with a kung-fu grip, as I've ventured deeper into my twenties, my fiscal beliefs have definitely started to trend towards conservative. That is largely due to the fact that I make money, and especially when I lived in Maryland, I didn't get to keep very much of it. And then Montgomery County put low income housing behind my mom's house, and the value plummeted. So the whole dynamic of, "take more of my money so you can screw me over with it" kind of soured me on liberalism. It's characterized by well-meaning, but ultimately misguided endeavors that simply aren't practical just for the sake of marginally improving some group's social standing.

But this really is just where I stand on the ideological spectrum. It does not reflect my views on political parties. While I grew up a hardcore democrat, I've grown up not trending towards conservative, but just general disillusionment and contempt for both political parties. Neither has my interests in mind, and when they do pass legislation I agree with, it's a watered down version of what would actually be an effective law, because it had to be modified fifty times to appease the opposing, party just because they have to reject anything the proposing party comes out with in order to make them look bad.

Living in MoCo now lol I know exactly what you mean

#2861573 Why, Kraken....why?

Posted by CarolinaCoolin on 23 July 2014 - 02:19 AM

Sure it does. Means currently he is guilty of domestic violence.

Juries are nuts, regardless of what they decide.....we already know Hardy makes dumb decisions. A jury finding him not guilty won't change that

No it won't change anything in your mind because you already mind up your mind. But you have no clue and no solid proof to say that he isn't actually guilty, that he will be suspended for any length of time, or this will be the reason he leaves the team.

Everything you're saying is pure speculation with a bias worldview so that pretty much means what ever you're saying is complete and utter garbage. Next please

Posted by CarolinaCoolin on 20 July 2014 - 02:32 PM

Sounds like Clowney had a pretty good rating going by his reaction. Smh if they start him off in the 90s as a rookie... 1st pick or not.

Lmao Johnny needs to lay off that powder if he really thinks they gonna have him at 92 his first year.

He was talking about his speed. Maybe you need to lay off the powder and learn to comprehend

You can tell this thread is hurting some feelings when we've got people like TheRed immediately stumbling over his own shoe laces to latch onto the "Well what about these guys over here!!!!!!" argument while completely bypassing the information provided in the OP

Funny how all I have to do is change one word and this post is perfect

#2846789 Four Teams have Expressed Interest in Andre Johnson

Posted by CarolinaCoolin on 11 July 2014 - 06:40 PM

Nobody said he was selfish for wanting to be paid well, or arguing that he didn't deserve the contract he has. What makes him look ridiculous is wanting to remain the highest paid player on his team while also wanting an infinite amount of talent around him. Can't always get both.

You are arguing that he needs to take a pay cut. So by extension you are arguing he doesn't deserve that money anymore.

He wants out of Texas. Texans don't want to let him go. If anything that's on the organization and not him. He doesn't look bad at all wanting to play for another team. He gave his all to them and now he wants to move on. But then again you love to make players look bad for no reason so continue on with whatever you do
