#2871340 When is the schedule released?

Posted by wareagleflyboy on 31 July 2014 - 05:41 AM

From what I can gather the schedule was supposed to already be released but they keep pushing it back.

I believe that is because of the whole Lebron going back to Cleveland, and now the tv schedules had to be re done.  Iv heard sometime in August.

You can hate on Vonleh's fg % all you want.  He is going through the motions and i love his hustle.  The skill set is obviously there, the shots just aren't falling yet.   He is taking good shots that just aren't falling.  I mean heck the kid is only 18.

I'm probably just biased, but I think he could be close to Lebron level good if he actually asserted himself, but to me Carmelo doesn't sometimes, especially on the defensive end.

#2813082 How Many Years Do You Give MKG?

Posted by wareagleflyboy on 08 June 2014 - 12:05 AM

MKG will not be an all star even if he develops a jumper. He does not have the scoring acumen to be such.

I disagree, I think his lack of jumper hurts his inside game right now.  He could develop a jumper, then people would be wary of his shot and pump fake more.  This will allow him to really show off his slashing ability that you already see flashes of.

#2794255 Hornets Transformation Thread - Live Press Conference @ 12:30 PM (Updated 5/7...

Posted by wareagleflyboy on 20 May 2014 - 01:32 PM

Enjoyed hearing that the Hornets rank #1 in full-season ticket sales for next year.  The Bobcats ranked 30th in merchandise sales, so in addition to giving the people what they wanted, it seems to have exceeded expectations from a business standpoint.  It would be silly to say that it was just fans or only business reasons for making the change as there was obviously multiple factors which in this case, can be called a "win-win."

The season ticket sale stat is kind of deceiving.  We are #1 in "new" season ticket sales not total.  So we aren't selling more season tickets than the say the lakers or knicks....Not yet at least!

#2754271 Countdown to the Hornets!

Posted by wareagleflyboy on 28 April 2014 - 12:24 PM

Kind of Sentimental for me that tonight is probably the last bobcats game.   Not going to be devastated and excited to pull for the Charlotte Hornets next season! But still kind of sentimental at the same time.

#2724279 2014 NBA PLAYOFF MATCHUPS (Round 2)

Posted by wareagleflyboy on 02 April 2014 - 01:00 AM

Updated...

- The Heat have jumped Miami due to games in hand.

- The Bulls are now tied with the Raptors for third.

- The Bobcats are only two games out of sixth with a remaining schedule of @ 76ers, vs. Magic, @ Cavs, @ Wizards, @ Celtics, vs. 76ers, @ Hawks, and vs. Bulls.

- The Knicks are one game behind Atlanta for the final playoff spot.

I fail to see how the heat can jump themselves  ;) .  Currently our Magic is Number is 4.  The next 4 games are must wins if we want to stay in the chase for the 6th seed in the east.  However, I'm not terrified of the Pacers the way they are playing right now and think we would give them all they can handle.

It may be in this thread somewhere, but what is our magic number to simply clinch a playoff spot regardless of seed?

Knicks are in 9th at 30-42.   We are 35-37.  So right now the Magic number is 6.

For anyone heading to Atlanta and will be there Saturday night.  The Bobcats happen to be playing the Hawks in Atlanta at 7:30 pm saturday night.

#2564956 Interesting Falcon message board thread.

Posted by wareagleflyboy on 24 December 2013 - 11:38 PM

Im suprised many on there actually hate the Saints more than us. With Hardy calling their kicker wierd shaped and the whole "get the fug off our field" back and forth debacle from last season. I guess Falcons/Saints hatred runs deep

My roommate is a Falcon's STH.  Gives the TV the middle finger anytime The "aint's" are on it.   Loves to reference "bounty gate", and would much rather the panthers " and cam" win the NFC South than Nola.  Apparently the Hatred runs real deep.

#2561160 Welcome back HUGO

Posted by wareagleflyboy on 23 December 2013 - 02:12 AM

A pretty logo isn't going to make our roster any better or our front office any less incompetent. This is like Philip Morris or AIG rebranding themselves to get rid of their negative images.

Yes winning will do wonders for long lasting popularity, but the Bobcats name had gone hand in hand with suck for so long that it was probably tarnished beyond repair.   A winning hornets will have much better attendance than a winning bobcats team.  The name change isn't everything, but it's a good start.

#2551823 For the fans who wants to keep "winning", are you guys:

Posted by wareagleflyboy on 18 December 2013 - 11:49 PM

I was never pulling for the Bobcats to lose.   When they lose I think, at least that's one more loss closer to a better pick.  However, I pull for the Bobcats to win 100% every game, and they are clearly no where near the worst team in the NBA.

It's not worth pulling for a team to lose, or you wouldn't be a fan at all.

#2550464 Is Kemba the long term answer at PG?

Posted by wareagleflyboy on 17 December 2013 - 11:54 PM

Kemba with 24 points, 5 assists, 3 rebounds, 1 steal, and 1 block in the win over SacTown...

Fans also started chanting "MVP" in the waning moments as Kemba put the game on ice with some free throws.

The Fans that chanted MVP, were right in front of our seats.  They were wearing throw back Hornets jersey's and really into the game most of the night.  We could use more of those kind of fans.  First time I'v heard fans chant MVP for any player, and not be mocking them.  ALA Matt Carroll, Byron Mullens, or Bismack.
