#2246267 Cam Newton NFL Top 100 #46

Posted by FreeArmanti on 30 May 2013 - 07:54 PM

It's not even about Champ. Champs bit should never have been shown. You are telling me they couldn't get Beason or someone else to talk about Cam? I know i shouldn't get this mad because its NFL network, but honestly this was more shocking than anything else i have read or heard. Because it is a fuging honor to be on that list, but they just bashed him. Made no fuging sense.

Thats the thing too. There were obviously plenty of players that like him enough to rank him at 46. They couldn't have shown any one of the fair share of players that voted him high. Just dumb and uncalled for.

They've probably already crossed receiver off the list of needs now for next years draft since Smitty looks 25

#2232193 Gettlemen continues to get criticism for not bringing in a WR

Posted by FreeArmanti on 15 May 2013 - 07:32 AM

It depends on if you think Short is going to become a better DT than Keenan is WR.

I know Allen isn't the fastest guy and had his knee problem, but I'm definitely going to be checking in on a few chargers games this year to see what he's doing.

There was no WR worth taking at 14 over Star, that pick was fine by me. But we resigned Dwan so the Short pick was for rotation and depth purposes and to limit Star's snaps. I would have been alot more mad if we passed on hunter, Hopkins or patterson in the second but they were all gone.

We didn't have the money for any big name WR FA so that part i understand too. Hixon is more than capable of fighting with Lafell for that 2nd receiver position if healthy. But both Hixon and Lafell are better suited for the slot and as a third option IMO.

Other than drafteing Allen, Williams or Bailey there really wasn't a whole lot of options for Gman. I do like the Hixon and Ginn signings since he had limited money to work with, but for the love of god can we please get a WR next year for Cam and even Smitty's sake!

So is it Guh-douche or Ghey-Dosh?

It's Ghey-Dosh

Heard it on sportscenter this morning

#2230273 Panthers won't cut Armanti Edwards anytime soon

Posted by FreeArmanti on 13 May 2013 - 12:12 PM

I know this is overdone, but to prove my point about him playing scared just look at the first minute of this highlight video. This WAS how Armanti played, regardless if he was a QB or WR, he needed to try and make plays, he didn't.

Maybe and just maybe with Marty not around for this TC it will light a fire under Armanti's as$ and he'll be more aggressive and play like a man who may be out of work if he doesn't.

Combine Results:
40-Yard Dash: 5.221s

Vertical Jump: 33.50"

Put this in another thread already but oh well.

It's a dam shame Cam doesn't get the credit he deserves and that all these "analysts" blast him for every little thing he does. Dude lives under a microscope when on the field, much worse than anyone else.

Its about time these "analysts" get over the fact they were wrong about him, and embrace him for being the freak of an athlete that he is. As soon as the panthers finish surrounding this man with the necessary pieces on offense and defense, there going to win alot of ball games.

Made a bet with a friend last year who is a saints fan that Cam would win a superbowl during his career for a thousand bucks. I agree with you OP he's a stand up guy, i just wish people would start noticing the good and not the bad. Pointless post i know, just wanted to throw my 2 cents in.

Mcginest, Sapp, and O'hara all pretty much said Cam cant do it all himself and that he needs help.

Mcginest mentioned Ted Ginn as someone who will help out with field position so Cam doesnt have to drive 80-90 yards everytime.

Guys said the defense needs to step up as well. Also said that Cam cant be the one to lead the team in rushing again especially with two of the NFL "best backs" in the back field.

All guys seemed to believe in Cam for those of you that seem to think Cam's a problem.

The kids an effin beast and is going to shut up alot of people this season.
