#2739874 Proehl at LSU today

Posted by RoaringRiot on Yesterday, 09:55 AM

No to Landry.  Like someone here, or an article said, Landry only got by in college because of his great ball skills.  Corners in the NFL are a whole different level, the guy has a 30 inch vertical, an barely get under 4.6, and is 5'11.  He lacks explosiveness and could be covered by most NFL linebackers.

:lolu:

#2739500 Cats vs Hawks 4/14

MKG literally does EVERYTHING extremely well except shoot the ball.

Most casual fans look at the scoring column on the box score & that's it.

Being that much of an offensive liability totally changes the way a team can game plan their D for the Bobcats. We can't have a SF who hasn't attempted a 3 since January and is shooting 11% from that range.

The Heat obviously know they can beat us and are settling for that #2 seed, keeping us in the #7. That loss against the Celtics was brutal. What a difference in playing the Raptors and going up against the best team with the best player in the league. Pretty upsetting. Hopefully Washington will poo the bed tonight.

#2739109 Gantt with the blast/PFTcommenter with the kill

Posted by RoaringRiot on 14 April 2014 - 03:20 PM

Could this guy get any more lame? You got fired, Gantt....time to move on. It's not like you haven't been dumped by a girl before and had to get over it. Wait...or is it you've never had a girl before? That may have been a bad analogy.

#2739103 John Clayton Weighs in on our talent at Receiver

Posted by RoaringRiot on 14 April 2014 - 03:17 PM

I don't expect one "expert" to say anything different from this (until we start winning). These comments remind me why I didn't watch ESPN after week 6 last year. I had actually forgotten.

#2738773 working from home...

Posted by RoaringRiot on 14 April 2014 - 07:57 AM

I'm in sales and work out of a home office. I absolutely love it except for one thing.

Someone please convince my wife that..................

just because I'm home all day doesn't mean I'm going to take out the trash or empty the dishwasher.

Yeah I get this from the wife too. Apparently since I'm working at home all day I have tons of time to do chores and run errands.

#2737166 Jukebox go-to song

Posted by RoaringRiot on 12 April 2014 - 08:22 AM

I was hammered at Thomas St Tavern about 10 years ago and found the remote to the jukebox. Soooo....I decided I needed to put it in my pocket. I went to the juke box and played "Juicy". After the song was over the next song came on for about 15 seconds...until I hit the skip backwards button and "Juciy" came back on. This happened about 4-5 times while the staff was freaking out looking for the remote. They eventually turned off the box and put on the Musak.

We thought we were funny as poo....but we are also a-holes.

#2734028 LSU Pro Day

Posted by RoaringRiot on 10 April 2014 - 09:12 AM

I've been a big follower of LSU football for years, and when LaFell came out he had all the accolades that Landry is getting now.  He was also projected as a high second rounder.  He made clutch pass after clutch pass in the SEC.

Look up the scouting reports on LaFell coming out, and you'll see the same stuff about Landry, except they talked about LaFell's blocking more than Landry's.

OBJ is the star receiver on that team.

My wife and her family are from Louisiana. They're HUGE LSU fans. Which, in turn, makes me a LSU fan because I'm forced to watch all of their games. I haven't missed one in 5-6 years. If you really watched LSU games you would agree that LaFell is NOWHERE near Landry. The "it" factor is real and Landry has it. He doesn't hit the HR like OBJ does so people who follow stats are more attracted to OBJ, but Landry is the better receiver on that team. That being said...I think they're both going to be great. But the Landry to LaFell comparison is not a good one.

#2733967 dave "our little b*tch" dameshek interviews La Renarde

Posted by RoaringRiot on 10 April 2014 - 08:01 AM

Fugging love Dameshek.

Oh yeah, thats right. I forgot the Huddle isnt in on the joke and still thinks he's an actual NFL analyst and not just a comedian hired to do an 'over-the-top' jewish schtick and do nothing but interviews.

Perhaps a little improv training would help Luke immensely. This wasnt a 12 second quick answer to Pam Oliver before halftime Luke. Sit-down interviews require much more give and take. Not just answering the question seriously and moving on. He'll learn, hes young.

Now i just have to remember what Podcast episode Dameshek sang that "Your Beautiful" song to AJ Hawk. Good times. Also, Hawk has great improv skills for a player. Made for a great interview.

Oh yeah.... I mean fug Dameshek cuz he didnt lyk our jerseyz!!!! Rite guyz!!?!?!??!

I'd be willing to bet my car that there is no such song with that title.

Landry is LaFell 2.0.

Zach Mettenberger had one of the best arms in college football last year, and a line that gave him time to use it. He made all his receivers look better. The difference between Landry and OBJ is OBJ also returned kicks, and shows off a good running ability in the open field.

That is one of the most ridiculous and uninformed comments I've ever read.

#2733071 Bobcats Wizards

Posted by RoaringRiot on 09 April 2014 - 03:31 PM

If we lose and split the series with the Wizards who would win the tie breaker?

Not sure but it's probably a moot point because a loss tonight puts us two games back with only 4 or so to go and both have relatively easy schedules.

#2731230 Wide Receiver Roundup

Posted by RoaringRiot on 08 April 2014 - 07:39 AM

Uh yea he did, see you guys like to twist things to fit your point. I'm a realist and the reality is he was on the Patriots roster and caught passes from Tom Brady.

Ok Mr Realist....looking at it objectively which scenario makes the most sense?

1) a 7th round pick took time to develop into a decent prospect in a NFL position that typically takes players time to adjust to the new level and has continued to grow, develop, and improve every year.

2) in his second year Underwood was brought in primarily as a kick returner and only caught three passes from Brady so he sucks.

It's not twisting things around... It's freaking coming sense. And yes, I am guilt of possessing it.

Actually Tiquan Underwood played a year with Tom Brady. I would definitely call him a legitimate qb.

Oh stop it. Did he really PLAY a year with Brady? I'm starting to think all you like to do is complain.

#2729696 2014 NFL Schedule release

The schedule release dictates 5 months of my annual schedule. It's a pretty big deal.
