#3034121 Colin Jones Ran a 4.3? Huh?

Posted by WCUcats on 20 October 2014 - 10:35 PM

I'm all for giving Jones and Boston both a shot. It's very difficult to imagine that pair being worse than the DeCoud/Harper pair. At least the young guys can actually run. What's the worst that could happen? The D gives up 30+ points on our way to getting blown out? Oh wait, that's happened 3 times already this year.

Jones and Boston are also young and can improve vastly with game experience. With DeCoud and Harper you know what you are going to get, and it's not good.

Harper has been abysmal honestly. Just the worst safety we've had since Jordan Pugh.

Harper is worse than Nakamura.

Wild turkey 101, and maybe a little ginger ale if I need some nutrition. For anyone sitting in my section I'm bring a nice airplane bottle appetizer plate for all to enjoy.

#2912445 Have any legitimate veteran lineman been cut yet?

Posted by WCUcats on 28 August 2014 - 09:14 AM

you'll be sure to be mad/disappointed.

Gettleman/Rivera won't come out and bash the O-line and say things like "it's clear we need an upgrade". They are going to walk the line and say exactly what has been said thus far. If you don't think that they will take a shot at upgrading our roster if the situation presents itself, then you're wrong.

The question is really if a clear upgrade at tackle becomes available, and if we can afford it with our current salary cap debacle. I think there is probably around a 40% chance we bring in o-line help before the season starts.

If we don't then I think the situation will turn out a lot like the 2011 season at the DT position. After Ron Edwards went down the consistent sentiment was dear god we can't really be entering the season with two rookie DT's, but that is exactly what happened.

Why would any team want that fat racist bully?

Because he can block? It's not his fault that Martin was a baby back biatch who was mentally to soft for the nfl.

#2906375 Out of market Huddlers - how are you watching the Panthes games this year?

Posted by WCUcats on 24 August 2014 - 09:33 AM

Watching games through illegal streams is a lot like screwing a dirty bar skank. It's always available, cheap/free, usually of extremely poor quality, and you almost always catch a virus.

With that said, been there done that.

#2902324 Melvin White

If I recall correctly, Tom Brady picked on him during the MNF game last season. That's the only time I remember people really criticizing him. Otherwise he was solid.

Actually that game was when I realized White might turn out to be a decent CB. Brady definitely made it a point to pick on White and White held his own. Brady has ruined guys careers when he's gone after them, Alphonso Smith certainly comes to mind.

Anytime you can find a starting caliber player as a UDFA that is a great pick up.

#2889207 What games do you plan on attending at BOA this season?

All of them. Section 101 row 2. Average BAC >.20.

#2888188 One thing G-man said on Panther Talk last night.

Webb could easily go to the practice squad. DA just got an extension this offseason I believe....he is staying this year. Webb isn't better at QB.

Yea, that is not possible,

#2887059 What are you most EXCITED for this season?!

I'm looking forward to the last game of our season being in February.

#2867019 Tackle might not be as bad as we thought.

Interesting Byron Bell interview posted on Panthers.com. Bell is starting to win me over a little bit. I like what I'm hearing out of Nate Chandler too.

I think their relative lack of exposure up to this point and made fans uneasy. After hearing where their minds are I'm feeling a lot more optimistic.

Thoughts?

Do you remember the Bills game last year? Bell gave up four sacks (a panthers record) and then went on to tell the media he felt like he played a good game.

#2866346 Why did you become a Panther fan?

Posted by WCUcats on 27 July 2014 - 10:52 AM

I'm 25 and can't remember a time in my life when I wasn't a panthers fan. Growing up watching and going to the games with my dad has made me a diehard fan. I can't wait to raise another generation who wont remember anything but being a Panthers fan!

#2862906 Justin Blackmon, not Josh Gordon, is now the dumbest player in the NFL

Posted by WCUcats on 24 July 2014 - 10:02 AM

But I thought marijuana was not addictive?

Here are guys that are willing to kill multiple million dollar careers to smoke this.....gotta Mabe addictive.

Marijuana is addictive, both mentally and physically. The rates of addiction with marijuana are just significantly less than other drugs (Cigs, Heroine, Meth...) its is much more comparable to the addiction rates of caffeine.

However drug addictions are 50% of these guy's problem the other 50% is just being dumb about how they handle their drug use.

Apparently you can be dumb and play in the NFL, you can be dependent on drugs and play in the NFL, but you can't be dumb and addicted to drugs.

Both those guys had the potential to be elite receivers. It is a shame they have substance abuse issues.

#2862125 Are we Super Bowl contenders this year?

Posted by WCUcats on 23 July 2014 - 03:08 PM

Oh we are Superbowl contenders.

Nobody would have thought coming into the 03/04 season we were even playoff caliber, but we made a run. This team is as capable as any to be in the Superbowl. We need fortune to be on our side for it to happen, but I drank the cool aid and this year is the year.

Screw the offensive line haters. We have the best mobile QB in the league who can handle his business in the pocket and make the throws under pressure. Boys, its not like we have Matty Ryan or Eli Manning as our QB. We are going to be better than last year.
