Whelp! Get ready for the moment a player is accused he gets an indefinite suspension.

Oh boy...

The accuser is stating that she called Roger Goodell directly about this and Marshall only wound up with a one game suspension.

Her story of what happened is highly violent.

Ok, this isn't about justice, this is about a lawsuit.

Don't get all "manliy man" & tackle a project that you know to be over your head by yourself. If you fug up then you'll end up calling in a professional who has to fix your mistake & the original problem. That's damn near handing the pro blank check. (Especially if he's unscrupulous) If you're lucky, you know someone that can help you through it & they'll show you how along with some other tips for similar situations.

Also I strongly second what fitty 76 said about the termite inspection.

You could make a pretty good argument that social media has given The Court of Public Opinion some large teeth.

Oh absolutely! The speed of a lie/mistake now would burn Sam Clemens' mustache off.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you seem to think this is new. Its not. The court of public opinion has always believed what it believed evidence be damned. Guilty until proven innocent, innocent after proof of guilt, etc...

Only thing that has changed is info (or dis/misinfo) travels even faster.

#2955285 Charles Barkley 's messed up comments on AP beating his kid

Posted by 332nd on 15 September 2014 - 01:26 PM

The biggest issue I have in the AP case is that his son was only 4 yo.

I got my ass beat with a belt and switch many times .....deserved every one of them. But never when I was that young.

AP crossed the line on this one

Yep. I struggle to think what a 4yo could possibly do for someone to think that was warrented.

Also, I'm black, grew up in a black neighborhood, had my share of the switch, & saw many more. NEVER have I seen marks like that the next day nevermind a week later.

I agree its awful, i hate that the young kid has to feel scared of his own father. I never felt that way after i had been whipped. But then again, my testicles were never attacked, yikes. It sucks, that he took it to far, but giving your child a whipping
Is no reason to question character. Beating your child is a different story and that may be the case
In this situation.

I agree, spanking isn't a reason to question his character, but that isn't what he did. He cut that kid up. As I said earlier, I'd bet anything that whatever the kid did he went after him while still pissed. I'm 42 & even in my day wounds like that would be called abuse.

Read for yourself. Ill intent would seem to me that he would not admit he was wrong and stating that he regretted his actions. Ill intent would be showing no remorse.

Ill intent would seem to me that he hit a 4yo so hard he cut into his flesh. Since that's exactly what he did...

Unquestionably a foolish statement from you yet again.... I'm ushered into the family of Christ via Gentile as you should be. Do you even know what that is? Clearly not as you have made it perfectly clear you know not what you're speaking on. I'm not going to turn this into a battle of words as your quarrelsome ways desire but instead I will use you as a stepping stone to enlighten the other lost people in agreement with you that clearly think as you do.

ACTS 10:9 About noon the following day as they were on their journey and approaching the city, Peter went up on the roof to pray. 10 He became hungry and wanted something to eat, and while the meal was being prepared, he fell into a trance. 11 He saw heaven openedand something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its four corners. 12 It contained all kinds of four-footed animals, as well as reptiles and birds. 13 Then a voice told him, “Get up, Peter. Kill and eat.”

14 “Surely not, Lord!” Peter replied. “I have never eaten anything impure or unclean.”

15 The voice spoke to him a second time, “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.”

16 This happened three times, and immediately the sheet was taken back to heaven.

17 While Peter was wondering about the meaning of the vision, the men sent by Corneliusfound out where Simon’s house was and stopped at the gate. 18 They called out, asking if Simon who was known as Peter was staying there.

19 While Peter was still thinking about the vision, the Spirit said to him, “Simon, three[a]men are looking for you. 20 So get up and go downstairs. Do not hesitate to go with them, for I have sent them.”.......

27 While talking with him, Peter went inside and found a large gathering of people. 28 He said to them: “You are well aware that it is against our law for a Jew to associate with or visit a Gentile. But God has shown me that I should not call anyone impure or unclean.29 So when I was sent for, I came without raising any objection. May I ask why you sent for me?”

30 Cornelius answered: “Three days ago I was in my house praying at this hour, at three in the afternoon. Suddenly a man in shining clothes stood before me 31 and said, ‘Cornelius, God has heard your prayer and remembered your gifts to the poor. 32 Send to Joppa for Simon who is called Peter. He is a guest in the home of Simon the tanner, who lives by the sea.’ 33 So I sent for you immediately, and it was good of you to come. Now we are all here in the presence of God to listen to everything the Lord has commanded you to tell us.”

34 Then Peter began to speak: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism 35 but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right.36 You know the message God sent to the people of Israel, announcing the good news of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all. 37 You know what has happened throughout the province of Judea, beginning in Galilee after the baptism that John preached— 38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.

I have no problem with you, just the fact that your lack of desire for truth has made you like the ones of this world. You raise assumptions of me but indeed you are in question, I'm secure in who I am, who I was, and what I'm to do without the influences of the world. Don't speak scripture if you don't know! And certainly be silent if you yourself don't believe it! Proverbs would do you much good. Open your eyes bro and study! BTW my comment is not in anger towards you, nor is it a attempt to persuade you into Christianity. peace and pray Brethren.

Meh... if I have to fear him he's not worthy to be anything to me.

For the love of god can we please just have one day where we're not militarily controlling/manipulating sh*t in other countries.

We did... I believe it was July 5th 1776...

#2941754 Goodell will be fired/resign by next week

You are kidding me right? The opener between SEA and GB was the most watched opener in history and this was after Rice had been suspended. I'm sure you're outraged by the act but you are still watching football. Viewership = bottom line

Actually, sponsors=bottom line. If top sponsors get enough "I refuse to buy your product as long as you are supporting the NFL while RG is commish" type feedback, RG &/or the owners are going to be pressured for his ouster.
