#3097991 A quick tutorial for those that are baffled by posting on their phone.

What if I like to watch Philip run?

"Whom would you choose?"

And never end a sentence in a preposition.

I'm a grammar snob as well, but I would much rather people use "who" incorrectly rather than "whom" incorrectly. Not many things sound sillier. And where did he use a preposition at the end of a sentence?

#3068813 Some hard evidence why Shula needs to be fired now.

Posted by QCkilla on 05 November 2014 - 03:42 AM

the offense was pretty good last year I don't think Shula sucks but he's not a OC who can make wonders with this chicken scraps we have......the Shula hate is overrated, now if he performs this way with better talent then yeah he sucks

I'll give you that the talent hasn't been awesome, but we would frequently start out hot and then by the 3rd drive, the defense had made adjustments and Shula was incapable of adjusting back. His play calling was frustrating last year and is extremely frustrating this year. The most glaring evidence of his poor play calling is that the offense will occasionally move all the way down the field with ease, but once they get close to the end zone, whatever got them down there is abandoned and the offense fails to score.

#3066508 A rare good point from the guys at WFNZ

We draft pretty well overall. We are better than most teams with our top picks. In fact if you look at our first round picks over the last decade we probably do better than anyone (and those first rounders have a good rate)

What I think we do poorly in isn't drafting. It is FA and acquired talent. Last year was the first time we hit on guys in a long time and they all immediately left.

Our first rounders have been great, but the later rounds have been absolute dog poo. Other than Cam, we have no one left from 2011, for example. But still, I agree with you that our FA scouting sucks too. In fact, that's Dan Morgan's job in Seattle. He's in the pro personnel scouting department. I just think former players as scouts makes sense so that's probably the answer to my question of why it's not happening here.

So Clinton Portis and Muhsin Muhammad were just talking about the good scouting departments around the NFL and many of them have one thing in common: former players. As far as I know, the Panthers don't have any former players in their scouting department. In fact, a former Panther (Dan Morgan) is a member of possibly the best scouting department in the NFL at the moment (Seahawks). Ricky Proehl begged for Keenan Allen and Kelvin Benjamin. He got his wish with the latter, but imagine if we had both of them. It only makes sense that former players would be good at evaluating the necessary traits that make up a good NFL player but we don't use any. Our draft history since 2007 when Don Gregory took over is pretty damn terrible, so why not utilize former players?

#3036554 Division Title at 7-8-1?

Posted by QCkilla on 22 October 2014 - 02:20 AM

I think it will take 8 wins to win the division and if we only lose two division games then we only have to win 1 more game outside of our division to reach 8 wins. But yea a 7 win division champ is certainly possible.

Might as well add score more points than them to your list...

Considering 25% of the fans in our stadium ask people to sit down, it would be tough.

#2989909 Hurney says the RB position is the Panthers biggest issue

Posted by QCkilla on 30 September 2014 - 12:45 AM

I just had to wake up real quick so I could come back in this thread and reiterate just how freaking stupid it is for Marty freaking Hurney to be commenting on the RB situation. God dang Marty! Every comment he makes should be prefaced with "I was the GM who maxed out the credit card, but...."

It's like an absentee father asserting that his daughter wouldn't be so promiscuous if she had grown up with a male role model in her life

What was his elaboration? I bet it went something along the lines of, "they simply didn't throw a bunch of high draft picks at RB, that's the only solution for this"

I don't know. I immediately switched to 610 to listen to a Garage Door Guru commercial.

Just said it on ESPN 730. The irony here is unreal.

#2966490 Luke's jersey is best selling

Posted by QCkilla on 21 September 2014 - 04:21 AM

this Dick's site currently has him 4th behind manziel(wat?), peyton manning, and luck.

newton is 12th. the only other team with two jerseys in the top 15 is the bears with cutler(11th) and marshall(9th).

I believe that's since the draft. Luke is just number one this past week.

Over the last week? What special things happened during that span about no. 59?

Kids, especially those that live somewhere without an NFL team, are beginning to like the Panthers. We have Cam and Luke, plus the best colors in the league.
