#2708609 Do the panthers give cotchery # 89?

He should wear #82, his college #

#2703799 Now the FA WRs have leverage...Bump that!

We can always trade late draft picks for mid-tier vets if need be. Nobody needs to panic. Plus, there will be decent WRs who are cut between now and August. Don't overpay for anyone!

#2701155 I think that we can all agree on JC and JJ, but what about JF as another targ...

Thought you meant Jacoby Ford, who could effectively replace Ginn.

#2700580 Cotchery to Visit Monday!

It would not be hard to put together a collectively better WR group than what we had last year. I think I am more concerned with OT right now.

I'd take him over Lafell and he will be cheaper than what NE paid. We need a veteran and he is an unselfish, consummate pro who would be great for our young and drafted WRs. Plus, he is a Wolfpacker so I am partial  :thumbsu:

#2683513 Steve getting cut tuesday, had dinner with JR

Posted by Wolfcop on 11 March 2014 - 11:53 AM

He does not owe us anything, and we don't owe him anything. He got paid for those seasons and we got production. But, now makes more money than his remaining worth. That is why he will not be a Panther next year. And, I hate it.

WIN now

Yeah, I don't want our first season as the Hornets to suck. We should be a very competitive team next year. And, now we are MUCH more attractive to potential FAs. I'm glad we have Big AL and I am glad we made a run at the playoffs.

#2683498 Steve Smith Lifetime Panther

Posted by Wolfcop on 11 March 2014 - 11:43 AM

I think I would retire and enjoy my family. He is a good family man and probably does not want to uproot them at this point in his career. He has made enough money and he does not seem like the type who would do well starting over, and likely in a second fiddle role.

#2679196 Panthers Interested In Eric Decker and Hakeem Nicks

Posted by Wolfcop on 08 March 2014 - 11:39 AM

Clayton said that our interest in Decker would be contingent on us cutting Steve Smith. No thanks.

No way I will ever pull for the Aints. I hope Seattle destroys them.

#2564066 Panthers/Aints Replay at 2:00 PM Today (NFL Network)

Sorry if this was already posted, but I did not want anyone to miss the replay of our awesome win on NFL Network today at 2.

Go Panthers!

Merry Christmas!

#2478918 Who got misty-eyed after that interception

Oh yeah...I did. My wife said that was the first time I teared up about a Panthers game since the Super Bowl 10 years ago.

#2318815 Cams progression

Posted by Wolfcop on 10 August 2013 - 09:07 AM

He sometimes forces some things and sometimes does not see things. But, he DID set a record for consecutive passes without a pick last year. He is fine and I expect even more improvement this year.

Well, I know we want to win but I can't blame him for not playing potential starters at this point. I would be pissed if someone blew an ACL or something.
