#3106832 What kind of pie have you eaten today

Posted by Brit-Panther on 27 November 2014 - 05:12 PM

Dutch Apple pie. And one of the 15 people eating my pie at a thanksgiving dinner was one of the jurors on the Rae Caruth trial!
Interesting old fella.

#3096464 A Small Theory

Posted by Brit-Panther on 18 November 2014 - 09:34 PM

so tired of the conspiracy threads. Gettleman has the green light to do wtf he wants to get this team to the superbowl. Thats why he is here. Jr would not have brought him in and put fuging handcuffs on him. JR let him cut Smith. That should have proved it to you ppl. Gettleman does/did not have set anyone up for failure when he has 100% control of the team to do as he pleases to get JR a Superbowl. We done?

.End of Line

This: How much time do you think big cat has on this earth?? Think he would hire a GM that wants to sabotage a franchise quarterback which would then take years to redefine another one into a SB winning QB/team?
Let's step away from the conspiracy theories people and look at the obvious state of the franchise. Personally I believe the light is at the end of the tunnel....it's just not this year...

#2979546 Going to the Baltimore game anyone Tailgating

Posted by Brit-Panther on 26 September 2014 - 08:21 PM

I was gonna wear mine, but I don't want to be the asshole everyone is talking about when they inevitably pick one panther 89 to show in the stands coming back from commercial break

Interesting point. For that reason I may just wear it then!

My first ever Panther away game was in St Louis watching the team at the Rams place, can never remember what they call that poo hole. Jimmy C Qb-ing. I call it the death by Pickles game. Mind you what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.....or so they say.

#2891088 New Huddlers... introduce yourself....

Posted by Brit-Panther on 15 August 2014 - 06:53 AM

So I had to look at my own profile to remind myself Ive been lurking here since 01/01/2009.

I guess this is the thread Ive been waiting for, for 5 years!

British guy who couldn't understand football when I arrived in Charlotte 17 years ago. Love sports, in particular soccer and rugby but didn't understand the American football game. Hell I'm still learning truth be told,  maybe thats why I don't post very often. Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open my mouth and remove all doubt.....Abe Lincoln.

Mind you, you can't doubt my enthusiasm I'm there every home game and will travel to at least two away games this year. Ive met several huddlers including you Jeremy at the pep rally before the whiners play off game.

π Dutch Apple n ice cream...

#2806000 Qatar busted for bribing FIFA officials to ****** World Cup away from USA

Posted by Brit-Panther on 01 June 2014 - 02:23 PM

I've felt the need to take on the villain in this soccer section compelling others that would not normally post to give their thoughts and making it more active.

A villain would have had a more compelling argument.....village idiot perhaps?

Here's an article today in the British newspaper The Guardian on this topic. Seems a new vote is gathering steam. Interesting point was made that if the bribes were indeed made in US currency then somehow the Justice Dept. can take an active interest in the 'crime'.

Sepp Blatter is a twat in my opinion. Hates the British although its widely believed he voted for the U.S for 2022.

#2790384 2014 World Cup

Posted by Brit-Panther on 16 May 2014 - 08:04 PM

Fridays/Sats or Sundays and the format of the matches are perfect.

12/3 and 6pm matches. That rocks.

Already taking off early on June 13th for WC.

If anyone is game. Sir Edmund's may be the best place to watch England vs Italy on 6/14. I think that's a 6 pm match. O M G

That place could get rowdy.

You'll find more British guys and Europeans at Jackalopes on 7th. Jacks does it right when 300+ soccer fans turn up for an England game especially during a world cup. Local news station always seems to turn up there given all the fan fervor especially during the first games.

Ive been going there for major soccer tournaments for many years. Pretty much the unofficial British HQ for watching England play. Plenty of big tv's and typical sports bar food, beer, feel.

I like Sir Ed's and I'm very familiar with the place and although I've never been there for a soccer game they really don't have a lot of tv's for an event like this to be successful imho.

Happy birthday Zod.

#2644680 Kiper believes we'll draft the next Steve Smith: Cooks

Posted by Brit-Panther on 06 February 2014 - 03:39 PM

There is not a "next Steve Smith". Steve Smith is one of a kind.

I heard Chuck Norris wants to be like Steve Smith.
