That INT was one of the most athletic things I've ever seen.

#3138772 Do you have any confidence in ATL to beat NO?

ATL won the first matchup, I have a hard time seeing a sweep but you never know...

#3137140 The guy dressed as Car Crash Cam in the stadium...who was it?

Given the number of ppl who are killed or seriously injured in car accidents each year, I don't see the humor.

Am I offended? No, I just think it's stupid and incredibly poor taste.

This picture should be next to the definition of "Attention *****" in the urban dictionary.

#3129445 What is your excitement level for this game?

10. Because it's a division rival and because we still have a very real shot at the playoffs if we win.

#3129443 Cam's First Facebook Post Since the Accident

Posted by CatMan72 on 10 December 2014 - 08:19 PM

i'm glad he's ok… it's been a scary couple of days. hopefully this brush with disaster gives him a new perspective and lights a fire under his ass.

that said i can't help but shake my head when people attribute their surviving car crashes to god's protection. more than 3,000 people die in car crashes every day in the u.s…. it seems arrogant to suggest jesus had his hands on your steering wheel but decided to take a smoke break when the other 3,000 careened off a cliff or whatever. oh well, superstitions gonna superstition.

I think it was just his way of expressing his appreciation for whatever allowed him to walk away from an accident like that.

Posted by CatMan72 on 09 December 2014 - 06:41 PM

This really is crazy though... I was telling my wife the playoff scenario and then what happened with Cam and I was like, "how many other franchise qbs you know that we're involved in serious car wrecks this year?" scratch that, how many players across the NFL were involved in serious crashes in the last decade? It's way too rare. And then for it to be our qb and best player??? What are the odds.

And I was telling my wife the part that sucks is that Cam finally looked like Cam again and im assuming he had finally gotten healthy... And then this happens.

If by "crazy" you mean "this really blows" then I'm right there with you.

In week 15 of a 4 win season - shut him down and let him fully heal.

I would gladly sacrifice a playoff appearance this year (assuming we even get the help we need to make it in) for a fully healthy and healed Cam heading into next year.

Put Cam on IR and let him fully heal, no sense in risking further injury trying to sneak into the playoffs - with only 4 wins we had no right to expect to be in this position anyways.

Hope someone pointed out the the driver of the Buick that the truck "came flying down" Church St. and struck him because his dumb ass ran a stop sign.

I don't know what Cam's condition is, but I can tell you that right after an accident like that you have a ton of adrenalin coursing through your veins that makes you feel fine... he reportedly has no major injuries which is great, now we just need to see how he feels when he wakes up tomorrow morning - could be pretty stiff/sore.

Good news is that unlike most of us he has immediate access to world class trainers, doctors and facilities to help deal with any after effects. He's also an elite athlete in prime condition and that vastly reduces the chance of injury and any necessary recovery time.

The fact that Cam can walk away from this with no serious injuries means he truly is Superman:

Wait, did King just give Cam credit for something?
