#3258533 JAX Trip Details

Posted by CatMan72 on 01 March 2015 - 12:31 PM

76 deposits received - 24 spots remaining in cabana #2. I reserved cabana #3. The Jags ticket guy told me he wasn't going to come to the Panthers game because their fans are going to be pissed at how many Panthers fans are dominating the pool deck. I like that visual.

I'm going to put down a deposit, do you already have enough people for the bus?

#3258519 Panthers Final Decision On Hardy : No Thanks

Posted by CatMan72 on 01 March 2015 - 12:13 PM

Voth is as good at it gets and I don't doubt that he has legit sources, but unless his source is Gettleman himself we can't possibly know this for sure. In the past JR had a lot of influence over decisions like this, but the cutting of Smitty signaled a new era.

#3256776 NFL: Greg Hardy won't be reinstated because he hasn't been discipline...

Posted by CatMan72 on 27 February 2015 - 03:07 PM

LOL, I assume that by "reinstatement" he means "off the commissioner's exempt list".

This is what happens when you let public opinion dictate policy, the NFL has painted themselves into a corner.

#3253464 Thanks Deangelo and WBTV! Panthers now public enemy number one.

Yeah lol'd at the same thing, we found a way to blame Cam!

Global warming, Ebola, ISIS... all Cam's fault.

then the impossible happened to him and oh poo look out

Yeah, it's a business until you cut me and then I'm going to call into a local radio show and rant... LOL

On a day like today I'm reminded of how refreshing it is to have a GM that moves on when it's time.

#3249881 Cam Newton should be paid more than Luck or Wilson

Posted by CatMan72 on 22 February 2015 - 03:45 PM

I didn't miss the point at all. Wilson threw 5 picks all season versus 20 TDs. Cam threw 18 TDs and 12 picks so clearly Wilsons stats with arguably not that many weapons other than Lynch was much better than Cam.
Of the 8 games we won last year of which 6 he played, he had interceptions In 3 of them. So the old if he throws one interception we lose is hype not reality. The bigger question that does explain things is how many games do we lose when he throws more touchdowns than he throws picks? Or when he throws multiple touchdowns and 1 or less Interceptions. Truth is that he had 1 three touchdown game all year and 9 games where he threw 1 or none. Hard to win when you don't put up many points and your running game is hurting.

So that's a 6 game sample, go look at our overall W/L record when Cam throws at leat one pick. Kearse and Baldwin are vastly underrated, then you throw in Lynch and the much better protection Wilson benefits from and there is no comparison. We both know our team would never survive a 4 pick playoff game.

#3249352 Panthers sent "20 Seasons" patch with season ticket packet

Getting ready to do the same with mine, just need to find someone that can sew.

#3249348 Cam Newton should be paid more than Luck or Wilson

Posted by CatMan72 on 22 February 2015 - 09:56 AM

What game where you watching Wilson had 3 touchdowns and 0 picks while Newton threw 2 touchdowns and had 2 picks including a pick 6. Newtons passer rating was 79 and Wilsons was double that at 149. These kind of apologist comments are part of the reason Cam gets some of the criticism on this board.

You missed his point... how many times would we win when Cam throw 4 picks? The answer is we usually lose when he throws one, that how small his margin of error is while being asked to supply 80% of our offense in both the pass and run game.

#3245804 Sounds like the Bucs will pick Jameis Winston

Posted by CatMan72 on 18 February 2015 - 06:14 PM

Very possible.

Given how the RG3 deal turned out though, good luck getting a trade like that again.

I like to think of it as Karma for the Sean Gilbert deal.

I'd like to find the guy that invented double-sided tape and kick his ass.

#3242774 Expansion draft 20 years ago today...

...and yes, the Bill Goldberg we selected 64 overall is that Bill Goldberg (WCW).

He has the dubious distinction of being the first person cut by the Panthers.

We took him off the Falcons hands - he had a sweet mullet back in the day:
