#2757469 Jerome Couplin III

Posted by KDawg004 on 30 April 2014 - 08:16 PM

Stumbled across this prospect on another website. Seems like a good sleeper. FS out of William & Mary. Link includes a highlight tape that seems impressive. Haven't seen the Panthers linked to him though.

#2754137 KRs in the draft.

Maybe someone like D'Anthony Thomas later in the draft?

#2709709 Cason coming to charlotte tonight

Posted by KDawg004 on 20 March 2014 - 09:40 PM

Well this is what I saw so I'm still holding out hope
@MikeGarafolo: In addition to CB Terrell Thomas, who was in for a visit today, the Panthers are nosing around CB Antoine Cason. Figure they sign 1 or both.

I really hope we are able to sign both. We're going to have to go draft heavy on offense. A secondary of Harper, Godfrey, White, Thomas, and Cason should suffice with our front 7.

#2685569 Saints sign Jairus Byrd

I don't get how all these teams have money to make FA splashes every year. Yet, the Panthers never sign anyone of notable significance but are always cap strapped. Mind blowing.

#2678168 Fug a CB or any D player in the 1st.

Posted by KDawg004 on 07 March 2014 - 12:32 PM

If the value of DB outweighs that of WR/TE/OL in the 1st put me down. I have no problem having a CB that can slow down opposing WRs. Hell, I'd have no problem drafting Kyle Van Noy or Nix if they're the best value left on our big board.

#2668493 Building an OL

Posted by KDawg004 on 27 February 2014 - 01:04 PM

It could benefit us that quite a few OL had poor showings at the combine. We can find some good values from the 3rd round on that can start immediately for us. OG (Cyril Richardson, Gabe Jackson) OT (Cyrus Kouandjio, Tiny Richardson, James Hurst, Ju'Wuan James)

#1961391 Verge's first mock

Posted by KDawg004 on 24 October 2012 - 12:19 PM

Rather have Keenan Allen in the 1st. Would love Amerson in the 2nd. Has been underwhelming this season but good value. Try him at CB and if not move him to safety. Wouldn't mind trading up for Trufant. Good pick. Love Rambo in the 4th but I doubt he will be there. Who knows though. Overall great mock if it's anything close to that. Definitely dreaming on the FA pickups lol. Maybe we can create some wiggle room to sign a DT and OG.

#1961378 JK Mock Draft 1.0

Posted by KDawg004 on 24 October 2012 - 12:10 PM

A little high for Moore. Also don't want any WRs past the 2nd. That's just settling for more mediocrity. Would love Kenny Tate but i'm sure he'll be given a medical redshirt.

#1934167 2013 draft

Posted by KDawg004 on 04 October 2012 - 02:44 PM

I'd be pleased with that draft. I really want another CB though. So we can have a solid trio. Especially if one of our starters goes down. I'd also like to trade into the 3rd for one of these players:

Ricky Wagner OT
Desmond Trufant CB
Oday Aboushi OT
Tank Carridine DE
Da'Rick Rogers WR
Stedman Bailey WR
Omoregie Uzzi OG
Joseph Fauria TE (maybe)

#1728140 Mock Draft

Posted by KDawg004 on 12 April 2012 - 10:20 PM

Here is a quick mock i made. No fancy pictures/videos or detailed descriptions. Just straight to the point.

Round 1: Fletcher Cox DT

Seems to be the flavor of the week right now. Cox is exactly what we need at DT. He is a relentless pass rusher with upside to get even better. He is also versatile. I believe he can make an instant impact.

Round 2: Janoris Jenkins CB

Jenkins has his red flags but that does not diminish his value as arguably the best cover corner in the draft. He needs to clean up his act and Rivera is the man to do that. He would look great starting opposite Gamble.

Round 4: Cam Johnson DE

This is wishful thinking on my part. Johnson might be gone by round 3 but i'm hoping injuries and lack of production may cause him to fall. Johnson is versatile, solid against the run, and when healthy has the ability to be a ferocious pass rusher.

Round 5: Terrell Manning LB

Manning is a pretty good overall LB. He can be little reckless at times. Also shows the versatility to play inside and out.

Round 6: Devon Wylie WR/RS

Some more wishful thinking. Wylie might fall due to injuries and size concerns. But, he just ran in the 4.3's and may be drafted in the 4th. This guy screams Wes Welker to me. Can cause damage in our offense. Also doubles up as a dynamic return man.

Round 6: Danny Trevathan OLB

Trevathan is constantly making big plays. I don't know why he is rated so low. He is a good blitzer with sideline to sideline speed. He would fit in nicely at WLB for us.

Round 7: Drew Butler P

Might as well get a punter on board with our last pick.

#1677624 Seattle to release CB Trufant

Another option that should be a solid sign on the low.

#1661169 Vikings cleaning house

Posted by KDawg004 on 23 February 2012 - 12:58 AM

Jared Allen would be amazing but it's a pipe dream. I'd take Kevin Williams off their hands.

#1654163 Possible available Veteran DE ???

Posted by KDawg004 on 15 February 2012 - 09:37 PM

How about Rivera brings in a guy he's familiar with like the revitalized Mark Anderson?

#1639588 Brockers

Posted by KDawg004 on 02 February 2012 - 11:21 AM

Devon still although the safer pick has a much lower celing than Brockers. What you see is pretty much what you get. Also has injury concerns. Brockers on the other hand has huge upside. Like Haynesworth type upside without the drama. Brockers handles double teams fairly well. His run defense is actually his best attribute. He is also relentless and gives good effort every down. Still seems to take a few plays off every now and then.
